GNG was a great show for Team Stars! Some highlights include -

🌟 2 Champion and 1 top five buckles for Holly Wagner and Countess of Choclate in their first show as an amateur team

🌟 Champion Open Ranch Trail and AQHA points for Shewiz Electric

🌟 Two top five buckles in Ranch Trail for Margaret Netherby and MM Moonshine Spook- this team’s first buckles together!

🌟Champion in W/T Ranch Trail for Chris Oswald’s mare Hytime. This is only this horse’s second show as a ranch horse!

🌟 Top five in amateur Ranch Rail for Melissa Burnett and Gotta Spooky Chic. “JB” also picked up some AQHA open points in other ranch events

🌟 Top five buckle for Linda Sherman and All of a Southern in Western Riding

🌟 Not being able to attend the entire show, just some good practice for Grace Mahan and The Cookie Machine

Limited Stylin Fella (Barley) is a 2021 Buckskin Overo Halter Gelding (regular registry), approximately 15.2-15.3 hands tall. Barley is the horse everyone always tells me they are looking for - Quiet, attractive, easy to ride, more whoa than go. He is making excellent progress in his ranch training (riding, rail and especially trail). I would still characterize him as green, however all the pieces are there now. It’s just a matter of putting time and miles on him to get him competitive in the ranch show pen .

While he may be green under saddle, Barley is an already proven halter horse. He has 80.5 halter points (44 amateur points, 36.5 open points), 22 grand championships and 16 reserve championships with limited showing. Barley is by multiple world champion BRT Limited Edition out of Mr. Yella Fella. His dam is by Hes Stylin.

Barley is 4 panel negative: 1 copy of PSSM1 and 1 copy of MYHM. He is non-symptomatic (no vaccine reactions) and is on vitamin E as part of his regular supplements. This has never caused him an issue, and it is only known due to his genetic testing done by the owners.

Winter is coming and the owners have too many yearlings coming up!! The price reduction reflects this, not the quality of the horse.

The California Chanpionships were a great time for our small group!! Congratulations ~

🌟 Nancy Darden and FRC Playin Riddles. Circuit Champion in the Select Ranch Trail! Riddle was also top ten in the Ranch Trail stakes class

🌟 Donnie Flahavan and It’s Showtime Mr. Reserve Circuit Champion in the Select Ranch Rail and Reserve All-Around in Select Ranch. Jordan was also 3rd in the Ranch Trail stakes class

🌟 Fuel Needs Cash, owned by Chris Oswald. ME picked up a number of points in senior ranch trail and was top ten in the Ranch Trail stakes class.

Barley is good-minded, eager to please, versatile, and ready to go in whatever direction you want. He has 80.5 halter points (44 amateur points, 36.5 open points), 22 grand championships and 16 reserve championships with limited showing. Barley is by multiple world champion BRT Limited Edition out of Mr. Yella Fella. His dam is by Hes Stylin.
Barley, though green, is well started and is currently in training with an eye towards the ranch events. He should excel in the ranch trail as he is very good with his feet and has, so far, been unphased by anything. He’s had the rope swung on him, dragged and has been exposed to cattle. With consistent continued riding and training, he should be ready to show by next show season in ranch rail, riding and trail, and of course, conformation.

Brookside Bonanza last weekend was a success for Team Stars!! High Point AQHA Amateur Ranch Horse for Donnie Flahavan and Its Showtime Mr and Reserve High Point for Nancy Darden and FCR Playin Riddles. High Point All Breed Amateur Ranch Horse for Donna Impey and Lopin Illusion. Winner of the Rachel Fingerle Ranch Trail buckle for Fuel Needs Cash. First time showing trail for Margaret Netherby and her new mare, MM Moonshine Spook. A big thank you to Brookside for putting on such a nice show with terrific prizes abd fun evenings!! I’m sorry to those I neglected getting pictures of, but congratulations to the whole team!! 🌟🌟

Las Vegas was definitely a marathon, but we all survived! Pinnacle and L1 West continue to have improved competition every year. I’m proud of my team, their hard work and all they accomplished at these shows!! Now off to Brookside!!
