Why does it seem that we are always making choices between this or that instead of saying this and…. Why does it have to be one or the other?
Our nervous systems are always on alert so the act of being still makes us feel uncomfortable. The mental chatter is real, and keeps us distracted because what could possibly come up in the stillness? We do not want to feel uncomfortable, but it’s here where the magic begins.
The physical practice (asana) is about more than working out. In fact, it’s really just one of several tools meant to help support stillness, self-study, and connection.
If you want to learn more about the practices besides the physical, then join me Saturday May 9th at The Holistic Healing Workshop in Wi******er, VA at 10:00 am.
Early Bird pricing extended, get your tickets before May 2nd at https://theholistichealingworkshop.com

Buddhism Is Not About Worship — It’s About Practice!
There is a common misconception that Buddhism is a religion where you "worship" the Buddha. But the truth is far deeper and more beautiful.
Buddhism is not about blind faith or ritual — it is a practice, a way of living, much like yoga or meditation. It’s about training the mind, cultivating compassion, and learning to see reality as it is.
You don’t have to give up your faith to practice Buddhism. In fact, Buddhism can complement your faith. I once heard about a Catholic priest who lives in a Buddhist monastery in France. He said something profound:
👉 “Buddhism makes me a better Christian.”
And that’s the essence. Buddhism doesn’t ask you to worship the Buddha. Instead, it teaches you to awaken your own mind, to let go of suffering, and to live with wisdom and compassion.
When you practice mindfulness, kindness, and non-attachment, you become:
✨ A more present parent.
✨ A more patient friend.
✨ A more compassionate believer.
✨ A calmer, happier human being.
Whether you are Christian, Hindu, Muslim, Jewish, or follow no religion at all — the principles of Buddhism can make you more grounded, more peaceful, and more loving.
Because at its core, Buddhism is not about changing your God.
It’s about changing yourself.
🌸 Practice Buddhism, not to become a Buddhist — but to become a better, happier human being.
