WCC Teaching Professional, Seul-Ki Hawley, won her 4th consecutive NEPGA Women’s Section Championship earlier this week. As you may have seen on our social media outlets, Seul-Ki fired rounds of 72-73 at the Woodlands Club and Portland CC in Maine on August 31-September 1 to win the tournament by 17 strokes.

But her great play didn’t stop after her dominant win. The NEPGA Section Championship is played in conjunction with the women’s event and Seul-Ki’s play had her in position to win the overall title as she was tied for the lead heading into the third and final round. Playing in the final group on Thursday, Seul-Ki played well throughout the day, but her score of 75 was not quite low enough to secure the overall title. Her three-round total of 220 left her tied for 4th place and helped her qualify for the National PGA Professional Championship at Streamsong Golf Resort on April 25-28, 2027. Seul-Ki will be one of only a handful of women competing the PGA of America’s most prestigious event for club professionals.

Congratulations to Seul-Ki on this incredible week of golf. She does an amazing job of balancing a full teaching schedule, being a mother of two young girls, and STILL keeps her game in shape to play well on the NEPGA’s biggest stage. If you see Seul-Ki at the Learning Center, be sure to give her a give high five on a job well done! Seul-Ki Park Hawley 👏🏌️‍♀️🏆

For the 4th consecutive year, WCC Teaching Professional, Seul-Ki Hawley, is the NEPGA Women’s Section Champion! Seul-Ki fired rounds of 72-73 at The Woodlands Club and Portland CC in Maine for the overwhelming victory over New England’s best female PGA Professionals.

The Women’s Section Championship is held in conjunction with the 106th NEPGA Section Championship and played over the first two days of the three round event. Seul-Ki’s stellar play also has her tied for the lead in that tournament heading into Wednesday’s final round. She looks to become the first female champion on tournament history. Good luck Seul-Ki! womensgolf Seul-Ki Park Hawley 🏆🏆🏆🏆

Congratulations to WCC’s very own Ben Ragosa on his runner-up finish at this week’s 108th Massachusetts Junior Amateur Championship!

Being played at Wyantenuck CC in The Berkshires, Ragosa’s week got off to a near perfect start, as he birdied 5 of his first 7 holes in the 36-hole stroke play portion of the event. He would end up shooting rounds of 68-73 to finish T15th. With only 16 players qualifying for match play, Ragosa survived a 4-player-for-2-spots playoff to earn his place in the bracket.

The special week continued in the opening match as the 16-year old Ragosa defeated co-medalist and defending champion, Thomas Constantine, 3&2. Victories over Reid Ohanesian in the quarterfinals and Jack Carew in the semis helped Ragosa punch his ticket to the tournament’s final match versus Luke Edgar.

In the final, Ragosa jumped out to a 2 up lead through 7 holes and would keep that same lead until the 12th hole. Edgar won two of the next three holes to square the match. The 15th hole was halved as both players made birdie, but Edgar would win the next hole with a par. One down heading to the 18th green, Ragosa hit his approach shot to within 3 feet of the hole setting up a guaranteed birdie. But Edgar answered the challenge, hitting his own approach to within gimme range and the victory. While the outcome was not exactly what Ragosa and the rest of the WCC community was looking for, we applaud Ben for an incredible run to the championship’s final match.

Congratulations also goes out to WCC members Joey Monahan and Owen Shea, as well as WCC caddies Ryan Hart and Ben Mucci for qualifying for this prestigious event. .ragosa Mass Golf ⛳️

Instead of winter hats and turtlenecks, golfers wore shorts and sunglasses for this year’s Jim Lane Assistants Appreciation Day Tournament. For the first time in tournament history, the event was played in August, putting a bow on the 2026 golf schedule. With the golf course renovation project beginning on Monday, we have successfully completed every member golf tournament. Today’s event is a fun way to wrap up the season, with men and women competing together and supporting our great assistant golf professionals. A huge thank you goes out to Andy, Brennan, Ryan, Matt and Carter for their work throughout this abbreviated (but very busy) season. And kudos to all WCC departments who helped make this shortened golf season the very best it could be.

Thank you to all 132 players who came out for golf on this perfect mid-summer day. Congratulations goes out to all of our 2026 men’s champions recognized during the post-golf brunch. ⛺️🌙⛳️🙏

Congratulations to everyone who participated in our season-long Summer Four-Ball Tournament! We wrapped up the championship match on Monday afternoon as our two finalists battled it out to determine our 2026 champions. The teams of Jill Buck & Katie Ragosa and Aliki Broderick & Kat Zeiler earned their spots in the finals after making impressive runs through their respective sides of the bracket.

The match began as a tightly contested battle, with the teams halving each of the first four holes. Jill and Katie then gained momentum by winning the fifth and sixth holes to take a two-up lead. Aliki and Kat responded by winning the seventh to cut the deficit to one, but Jill and Katie answered by capturing the eighth hole and made the turn with a two-up advantage.

On the back nine, Jill and Katie continued their strong play. Victories on the 10th and 12th holes extended their lead, and after halving the 14th hole, they closed out the match to secure the championship. Congratulations to our runners-up, Aliki Broderick & Kat Zeiler, on a terrific tournament, and a huge congratulations to our 2026 Summer Four-Ball Champions, Jill Buck & Katie Ragosa! 🏌️‍♀️🏆🏌️‍♀️

The season long Fall Cup has come to a close. Congratulations to Rudy Landry for defeating defending champion, Brian Golden, in the final match of the Fall Cup on Sunday July 26th. Golden started the match off hot, winning four out of the first six holes and taking an early 3up lead into the 7th hole. Landry came right back on a hot streak of his own, winning the next three holes to get the match back to all square heading into the back 9. After alternating wins for four holes, the pair came to the 14th tee tied once again. But it was there that Landry pulled away, winning holes 14 through 16 to secure a 3&2 victory to become the 2026 Fall Cup Champion. This is the second Fall Cup trophy that will go up on Landry’s mantle, as he won the title in 2006. 🏆
