WCC Teaching Professional, Seul-Ki Hawley, won her 4th consecutive NEPGA Women’s Section Championship earlier this week. As you may have seen on our social media outlets, Seul-Ki fired rounds of 72-73 at the Woodlands Club and Portland CC in Maine on August 31-September 1 to win the tournament by 17 strokes.
But her great play didn’t stop after her dominant win. The NEPGA Section Championship is played in conjunction with the women’s event and Seul-Ki’s play had her in position to win the overall title as she was tied for the lead heading into the third and final round. Playing in the final group on Thursday, Seul-Ki played well throughout the day, but her score of 75 was not quite low enough to secure the overall title. Her three-round total of 220 left her tied for 4th place and helped her qualify for the National PGA Professional Championship at Streamsong Golf Resort on April 25-28, 2027. Seul-Ki will be one of only a handful of women competing the PGA of America’s most prestigious event for club professionals.
Congratulations to Seul-Ki on this incredible week of golf. She does an amazing job of balancing a full teaching schedule, being a mother of two young girls, and STILL keeps her game in shape to play well on the NEPGA’s biggest stage. If you see Seul-Ki at the Learning Center, be sure to give her a give high five on a job well done! Seul-Ki Park Hawley 👏🏌️♀️🏆
