Anyone else's cheeks hurt from smiling the entire last two weeks? What a recital!!! 2026 Showtime was one for the books and all the students did a terrific job:) We are already planning for a fantastic 2026-2027 dance year.

The curtain closed before Mr. Curtis Turpin's bow, so we are thanking him HERE! We asked him to be part of our first ever "DanceCamp Dads" where one of the students' dads performs at the recital. He did such a great job! Chacha, salsa, hustle, a little hip hop. And who knew he could do the worm???? His kids sure didn't, so that was a fun surprise.

Curtis told us when he was first dating his now wife, Jennifer, that one of the most important things he was looking for in a forever person was they needed to enjoy dancing. Curtis, I'm so glad you and Jennifer share the love of dance! Not only with your children, but for the 2026 recital, with all of us!

Announcing for the month of May, our Students of the Month are Coco Valentine and Quinn Jaeger! We're not saying we saved the best till last, but these 2 definitely stand out and we are so proud of them and their accomplishments this year!

Coco Valentine is a 9 year old 4th grader at Whittier Elementary taking Ballet, Jazz and Tumbling. Her teacher had this to say about her:
"Coco has demonstrated dedication and determination this year. She has worked so very hard and all that hard work is paying off. She brings a kindness and a sweetness to the other students in her classes. I am so proud of her perseverance and work ethic this year. She is a joy to have around." Coco said she chooses to dance and tumble because she wants to exercise and learn new things. Her other hobbies include crafts and art. Her future plans are undecided. Her family includes her dad and mom, 2 sisters and a brother and their pets: 2 dogs, 3 cats, 2 goats, and turtle and a lizard.

Quinn Jaeger is a home-schooled, almost 15 year old 9th grader taking Ballet, Jazz, Modern Lyrical, Hip Hop and Funk at the studio. Her teacher had this to say about her: " Quinn has started developing her leadership skills this year. She always comes to class prepared and with a smile on her face. She is such a ray of sunshine to all those around her. She has also been my classroom assistant with one of the younger classes and the students adore her. She steps up and leads them with such confidence. She is a fantastic young lady!" When asked why she dances she said she's been dancing as long as she can remember and it's fun and enjoyable! Plus she gets to dance with her friends! Her other hobbies are sewing, drawing, baking and helping little ones at a mid-week church program. Her future plans are to be a mom and own her own bakery! Her family includes her dad and mom, an older sister who dances, and 2 younger brothers. Their pets include 4 cats, 4 kittens, 2 dogs and 18 chickens!

We are so proud of these two students. They've worked hard and it shows! When you see them next, please congratulate them!

Nicole is an amazing yoga instructor! DanceCamp Studio is thrilled to have her use out space for her amazing classes! Check her out! I have been one of get students for many years and she is an incredible, fun, and patient instructor. Yoga is so good for the body!!
