UNCSA Festival Of Dance

It’s the first day of the UNCSA Festival of Dance, y’all!! Let’s do this!!

It’s almost time for the 2023 Festival of Dance!! We can’t wait to see all those participating tomorrow!!

Hello all! We are getting excited about our in person festival since 2020, and we hope you are too. We thought a good way to kick off our social media postings for our upcoming festival is to make a very special announcement, Robert Gosnell (School of Dance alumnus), we all know him as Robbie, has been promoted to Co-Director of UNCSA’S Festival of NC Dance.

He started teaching at the festival in 2002 when Melissa Hayden hired him. That led him to teach in the Preparatory Program, under the direction of Dayna Fox, and the UNCSA Summer Dance Program.

Robbie says, “I’m so excited about this endeavor. Not much changes for me, just a little bit more work. And I get to work along side my one of my mentors and good friend, Dayna Fox, who has been such an integral part of my dance journey. We work very well together and it means a lot that Dayna, Dean Taylor, the school of dance staff and faculty, trusts me to take on more responsibilities. Most of all, I love UNCSA school of dance and the school, and I know I wouldn’t be where I am without what I learned at the school. I want everyone who comes to the school, whether it be for the festival, the summer, the school year, and/or just to visit, to feel that energy of what the school of dance provides.”

It’s the final day of the Session 2. I hope everyone got some rest and are ready for their classes today. Speaking of classes, none of this really would have happened with these two ladies, Paige and Sam, who I call the Zoom Guru’s. These two set up ALL the links. Thank you ladies for all of your help!!
