Proper training for six months - one year at a state recognized facility. Starting livestock will be a calf or steer depending on age.

Proof of training needs to be shown at the time of enrollment for the rodeo.

Parent or guardian check in (in person) a week before the rodeo with valid ID and notarized waiver for minors.

Gear checks should be done at this time to guarantee the rider is properly equipped — if gear is not up to standard, parents will have a week to obtain better gear or that minor will NOT ride that weekend.

Live stock for event needs to be ranked appropriately. Weight is often taken before the event and the class of the bull is decided on their “bulk.”

Riders and Bull need to be matched based on experience and bulk. The riders stack needs to be the appropriate level for the rank of the bull.

In the chute, rider prep needs to be done by a qualified staff member.

I understand some parents do this for their children and during check in you can make that known.

No drugs or alcohol for employees or riders pre ride.

(21+) it’s okay to drink after their ride.

EMS/emergency transportation on site with proper equipment for ALL ages.

**there are kids riding (sheep) as young as four years old, we understand the risk of injury is not as high but still possible**

Point blank there needs to be pediatric equipment on site. We need to anticipate the possibility of injury ages 4 - 17.

An official to oversee the rodeo and administer quarterly checks to ensure the event is being run properly.
