How clean are your bearings after the reel has been serviced? Every part from frame to the screws are cleaned in our ultrasonic cleaners. Many even rave how we get them smoother than when they bought their reels.

When spooling braid on a reel pressure is needed to avoid this mess. It’s spongy and line digs into itself. Between this and not taping or mono backing is the two biggest problems we see daily. Where ever you take your reels to be spooled make sure they know what they are doing.
