Mike Tyson was serving a three-year sentence for r**e, and he'd hit rock bottom. He'd lost everything. His title, his freedom, his reputation, his sense of self. What happened in those three hours when the greatest boxer who ever lived helped save the most dangerous boxer from destroying himself became the conversation that transformed Iron Mike Tyson from a convicted felon into a man seeking redemption. March 1995, Mike Tyson had been in the Indiana Youth Center prison for almost 3 years. He'd been convicted in 1992 of ra**ng Desiree Washington, an 18-year-old Miss Black America contestant, and sentenced to 6 years.
