Welcome to Salem Athletics, Eric James!

Salem Athletics is excited to announce the hiring of Eric James as our new Associate Athletic Director.

Eric brings over 30 years of experience in athletics administration, coaching, facilities management, event operations, and leadership. In his role, he will oversee game day operations, athletic facilities, strength & conditioning, camps and clinics, the Booster Club, corporate sponsorships, facility rentals, and serve as the sport supervisor for Basketball and Cheerleading.

Salem Athletics is excited to welcome Meredith Gaines as our new Head Cheerleading Coach!

A Winston-Salem native with a strong background in competitive cheerleading, athletics, and sports leadership, Coach Gaines brings passion, energy, and experience to our growing program. We are excited for her to lead Salem Cheerleading into a new era as we continue building toward competitive cheer competition in Fall 2027!
