Saturday Racing ,City Decks: One West 4th Street, 450 North Church Street. For Pro Racing Viewing, Courtsesy of Reynolds American we will have parking in many of the RAI lots between Liberty and Patterson north of 5th Street also the city decks are also available.

We are deeply saddened to learn of this morning’s tragic crash involving the Milligan University Cycling team. Our hearts go out to the two student-athletes whose lives were taken far too soon, Haylan Engdahl and Brayden Rogers, as well as to the riders who were injured.

We extend our deepest condolences to Haylan and Brayden’s families, their teammates, friends, coaches, and the entire Milligan University community as they navigate this incredibly difficult time.

We are profoundly shocked and saddened to share that members of our cycling team were in an accident involving a vehicle this morning while cycling in Hampton, TN. Sophomores Haylan Engdahl and Brayden Rogers were killed in this accident. Multiple other Milligan cyclists were also seriously injured and are currently receiving treatment at the Johnson City Medical Center. There are no words to adequately describe this level of loss. Our prayers are with all those impacted by this tragedy. Please keep the Milligan community in your prayers.

The Winston-Salem Cycling Classic’s main goal when created was to support women in sports and cycling.
Now the longest continuously operated women’s professional event in North Carolina we have always offered development/amateur racing for girls and equal prize money for women in professional races.
We are proud of what we have done here and will continue to proudly carry on Rick’s mission.
Thank you to those that have been with us since the beginning and thank you to those that will join us for the future.

Fewer than 1% of women turn pro in their chosen sport however:
-70% of women that participate in sports go on to hold formal leadership positions.
- 94% of women in C-suite executive roles have a background in competitive sports.
- 69% of women that played sports hold at least one formal leadership role outside of their family.
- 70% of women earning over $100,000 annually in management roles participated in sports.
