DOMINATE THE BUMP

WHAT WE TEACH OUR PITCHERS ⚾️
At Blue Collar, developing pitchers is about a lot more than velocity. We want to develop confident, competitive pitchers who throw strikes, repeat their delivery, and know how to handle the responsibility of having the ball in their hands.
CONFIDENCE
It’s difficult to succeed at anything without confidence, and pitching is no different. We want our pitchers to trust themselves and their preparation. Confidence allows them to attack hitters, throw strikes, compete—and enjoy having the ball when the game is on the line.
THROWING STRIKES
It starts here. Our first priority is teaching pitchers to control the strike zone and give their team a chance to win. Velocity and secondary pitches will develop with time, physical maturity, proper mechanics, and consistent training. At the youth level, learning to command the fastball is the foundation.
REPEATABILITY
Consistent mechanics lead to consistent results. We work to develop a delivery that is both safe and repeatable, giving pitchers the best opportunity to throw the ball where they want while building a healthy foundation for the future.
BODY LANGUAGE + BEING A GREAT TEAMMATE
You make a great pitch. You get the ground ball. Your teammate makes an error.
Now you have a choice.
Show frustration—or pick your teammate up, get the ball back, and attack the next hitter.

BIG DAWG CHALLENGE LEADERBOARD💪🏻

At Blue Collar Baseball, our goal is to develop young men of character, not just talented baseball players. Throughout the season, players can earn Bones by demonstrating excellence in academics, serving others, showing leadership, making good choices, and challenging themselves physically.
Each approved challenge earns Bones that count toward both individual and team leaderboards. Every Bone represents a commitment to the Blue Collar values of hard work, selflessness, discipline, and integrity.
Every few weeks, coaches will hand out Bone stickers based off the amount earned so the players can put them on their batting helmets.
This challenge is about becoming a better son, student, teammate, and leader—not just a better baseball player.
