Facts!
As a fitness coach, we sometimes come across those people that hate the way their body is shaped. It could've been self inflected or genetic. I don't believe genetic is to blame entirely because we all have a choice at some point in our lives to make a change however, I also believe without the knowledge on how to transform your body it could eventually lead to hating the way you look.
Nonetheless, it's important not to workout feeling this way for a few reasons... 1. You'll push yourself so hard within your workouts that could lead to overtraining the body. 2. Going into your workout with that type of mentality isn't sustainable nor is it healthy.

I know first hand how it feels to have lower back pain. I also felt my midsection and lower back could've been healthier and stronger to have prevented a herniated disc but when you're young, most don't even know how important it is to develop a stronger back until its too late. At this point, you're too late in the game to get rid of lower back pain but you're never too old to start developing a healthier stronger back. Take it from me, I injured my back in my early twenties playing semi-pro football and now, at the age 41, I'm deadlifting, squatting, running, performing exercises as if nothing happened. How? By following these simple ways...
🔸️Strong muscles, especially in your abdominal, help support your back. Strength and flexibility may help both relieve pain
🔸️Keep up with your usual daily activities and movement. 30min walk around the block but aim to get on your feet at least 3x week.
🔸️Good posture helps ease the pressure on your lower back.
🔸️Maintaining a healthy weight can lighten the load on your back
🔸️Consistency, consistency consistency... I can't express this enough. It took years of bad habits that caused you lower back pain, give yourself time to work on applying these steps and you will see. Trust me, I was once in your shoes and now I'm 100% confident in saying I'm pain free.

Here's why you don't want to confuse the two...
Cardio is great for its benefits, however too much cardio can result in muscle loss and can slow your metabolism. The fat burning mechanism in your body slows down because you're burning muscle that supports your metabolism. Also, this is because the body hasn't recovered from the previous workouts involving excess cardio.
Being active simply means,... take frequent breaks to go for walks, hiking trails, bike riding, taking the stairs, washing your car, etc..
It's extremely difficult to build muscle if you're constantly doing cardio as your priority. In fact, you'll burn more calories by focusing on strength training first with a minimal amount of cardio done specifically because muscle burns fat.
This could have a significant effect on your weight loss journey.

Think about it like this...
Would you still allow yourself to gain excessive amounts of weight? I know most of us are at a point of loving ourselves first, but what about those that don't? 🤔 Did you know most Americans don't even know how much food (calorie wise) they should be consuming on a daily basis? I think most of society doesn't care or they just don't know.
Consuming your daily calorie intake could save this world from food shortages. I believe we're headed down a path of food being engineered, tasting just like the real thing. They do it already with crazy amounts of msg, but who's really checking other than me?
The importance of knowing your calorie intake for the day will allow you to enjoy the exercise experience long term, making your workouts much easier when it comes to weightloss or even being on a surplus. In my experience as a online fitness coach and trainer, I come in contact with those who are not eating enough or over eating and they're finding it almost impossible to see any long lasting results if any.
Some say it's too much to worry about or they don't have time to figure it out and that's pretty understandable considering most are busy with work. But we can't allow what we do on an everyday basis be an excuse if you are not happy with thy self.
This is a very simple concept I developed to maintain 175lbs for past 7yrs... I figured out what my caloric intake should be to maintain my weight and I tracked every meal till my eyes physically would look at a serving and instantly know if I was going to be pleasantly satiated with the serving amount or not. I knew! And with this I was able to workout with such intensity, that had significant impact in my fitness journey.💪🏽
I plan on working out for my health and overall well-being for the rest of my life, that's how important knowing your calories should be. Unless, you are utterly comfortable with thy self, you feel good eating just enough and you're okay with how things are going. Totally your prerogative.🤙🏽
