Cooking without her absolutely sucks so I’m gonna take a (longer) break from posting recipes for now but maybe I’ll throw some stuff on my stories so keep an eye there! Sierra, Cece, little betch, Lils, littlest littles, smush, smushy baby, smushiest girl in the whole wide world, mommy’s girl. I miss you so much already. The house feels so empty without you. Going outside isn’t the same without you barking at birds and chasing lizards. I know you’re in a better place now but I can’t wait until we see each other again. You’re so loved and so deeply missed already. You’re the best girl I could’ve ever asked for and I’m so damn thankful I got to experience your fun, curious, crazy, hyper personality in the short time you were on Earth. I’ll miss your little smushy face, those floppy ears, your little head tilts anytime you heard a high pitch noise, and the sweetest kisses and snuggles but most of all I’ll miss those little Chewbacca sounds you’d make every time I’d get home or anytime I was getting ice from the fridge. I’m so sorry we couldn’t spend more time with you here on earth and that this icky disease had to take you from us so early into your life but I can’t wait until we get to see you again. Chase 𝐚𝐥𝐥 the lizards, barks at 𝐚𝐥𝐥 the people, and eat 𝐚𝐥𝐥 the shoes and un**es in rainbow bridge until we get to meet again. I love you forever smush 🌈💞

Unfortunately we did not get the miracle we were hoping for. Cece’s immune system is completely compromised and unfortunately chemo is not an option for our baby girl. I don’t have much to say but please keep us in your thoughts and prayers 💔

Cece had a little bit more energy today so we got to go out for a walk around the loop! 🐶🐾 She’s mainly been sleeping all day since we picked her up so we were very excited to see a glimpse of our girl again.
We meet with the oncologist tomorrow morning to get their official recommendation and prognosis. We’re hoping for a miracle but from the paperwork they gave us last week we know it’s going to be a tough day for us to say the least 😔
This absolutely sucks d*ck but I’m 𝘴𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘬𝘧𝘶𝘭 that I was picked to be this cute little smush’s mom for her short time here on this rock we call earth 💖

Smush appreciation post bc she’s my favorite girl in the world and I just want her to come home so we can snuggle with her already 😓
If you haven’t seen, here’s the full story:
She’s a crazy one and still has ALL her puppy energy but last Wednesday she was calm beyond recognition. She started going potty every single hour in the middle of the night and then we noticed her 💩 was bloody. We figured it’s just her getting into something she shouldn’t have so we give her chicken and rice on Thursday but then Friday she just refused to eat or even sit with us on the couch and tbh she didn’t even want to be around any of us. Clearly unlike her, we rushed her to the vet Saturday morning where she’s been in ICU since. She is not creating any platelets, super low blood count and constant fever. She just had a biopsy done which went well however since she’s not creating platelets, the bleeding isn’t slowing down. They’re obv concerned about cancer but haven’t ruled out autoimmune yet. They’re going to start her on meds to help with the platelet creation which is also the first step of chemo if that’s the results we receive. We’re clearly hoping for the autoimmune answer since she’s not even 2 yet and we have a lot of love left to give her.
Anyways, told ya it’d be a long story and that’s long story short. So yeah. This really f-ing sucks and I just wish dogs could live as long as we do. We’ve been better but are still hopeful she’s going to make it through this all.

Newest addition to the fam! 🪴
An old coworker had a variegated rubber plant in her office and I would go visit her just to see how that little guy was doing lol I’m pretty sure that’s where my plant curiosity actually started!
I’ve been wanting one of my own for years and really really wanted to go find one this past weekend but we never got around to looking. We ended up going out for ice cream and when I saw this cutie in the corner I knew I couldn’t leave without!
I’m keeping him quarantined for a few weeks to make sure my other plants don’t catch anything, just in case!

These huevos rancheros tostadas at .watch are beyond incredible! The creamy avocado 🥑and chive crema paired with the zingy bite of the pickled onions 🧅 is a total flavor explosion that your taste buds aren’t even ready for. Served with sunny side up eggs & some black beans and a generous serving of freaking bomb salsa verde! My gawshhhh thinking about this all over again and I might have to go back tomorrow for more 😂

Brewski haaaaaates the camera. 📸Anyone else’s dog practically run away the second you aim the phone or a camera their way?! 🤣 he’s a grump and truly hates being in pics ever since he was a pup.
