We know that today may be a celebration of three day weekend for some.
A time for family and fun and food for so many around the country.
But let us not forget how it is that we have those privileges.
How it is that we get to enjoy that three day weekend. How it is that we get to celebrate.
We get to do enjoy those privileges because of the few and brave who decided to take up arms and defend this country from all enemies foreign and domestic.
They fight and some fall for us.
Today as you celebrate, take a moment and reflect on that sacrifice. Parents out there, maybe teach your young ones about it. Explain the sacrifice, explain the privilege, explain what this day is all about.
We here at Arnis International want to do the same and remember those who never got to come home.
God bless our troops and God bless America.

We at Arnis International are deeply saddened by the loss of one of the greatest martial artists to ever do it but more so one of the kindest people to ever live.
Over the next few days you will hear many stories about the martial skill of the legendary Chuck Norris, maybe even just a lot of jokes about the man’s insane ability to push the ground down instead of doing a push up lol.
But more importantly, you will hear stories of the man’s character and kindness. And those are the lessons that transcend martial arts. Those are the skills and teachings we should be imparting and carrying on into our own students.
RIP to the man, the myth, and indeed the legend

Thank you for everything you have done for me. I miss you every day. As I look back all the years we spent traveling and training I am truly blessed that I got to spend so much time with you. Some of the best memories and friends I have made are from having known you. Now my son is training hard and carrying on the legacy you instilled in me. He will be a torch bearer for the next generation and although he never trained with you, he aspires to do you proud”
