THE FACES OF HARBOR DAYS

Were you at Harbor Days? We want to see your photos!
One of the best parts of Harbor Days was seeing Village Park packed with our residents, families, friends, volunteers, local organizations, and visitors enjoying a great weekend together.
Now we want to tell the story of Harbor Days through YOUR photos!

If you took pictures at Harbor Days, whether it was enjoying the bands, carnival rides, great food, fireworks, hanging out with friends, volunteering, or just having fun with your family, please share them with us.

We’ll be putting together an upcoming “Faces of Harbor Days” post highlighting the people who made this year's event so special.

UPLOAD YOUR PHOTOS HERE:

Help us fill our page with the faces that made Harbor Days a great community celebration!

Please SHARE this post so we can reach as many Harbor Days attendees as possible!

Thank You Tebala Shriners of Rockford, Illinois

A big thank you to the Tebala Shriners of Rockford, Illinois, who are staffing our main b**r tent. They drove in, set up, and have been pouring, serving, and keeping the lines moving so the rest of us can enjoy the music, the food, and the fireworks. They are volunteers. Every one of them.

They are serving up ice cold b**r today. Stop by the tent, grab one, and say thanks to the crew.

The Shriners do this work in support of Shriners Children's, which provides specialized pediatric care to kids regardless of a family's ability to pay. Roughly 85 percent of what the organization spends each year goes directly to patient care, research, and education. That is a cause worth standing behind.

You can donate right there at the tent, scan the QR code below, or give online at https://donate.shrinerschildrens.org/give/716725
And please hit Like on this post so these folks see how much the
Village appreciates them.

Thank you to the Winthrop Harbor Lions Club, who were out at Harbor Days selling brats and feeding a hungry crowd all weekend. If you ate well out there, you have them to thank.

You will spot a familiar face in the photo. Beth McGinnis was working the grill as a Lion, not as a Village Trustee. Beth, thank you for everything you do for this community, in both roles.

And it is not just this weekend. Look around at any Village event, any time of year, and the Lions are there. They have also put real money into Village Park, the 38 acres our families use every week.

Lions Clubs International started in Chicago in 1917 and is now the largest service club organization in the world, with about 1.4 million members in more than 200 countries. Still headquartered right here in Illinois. Their motto is two words. We Serve.
Ours live up to it.

Please hit Like so our Lions know the Village sees the work and appreciates it.

FRIDAY NIGHT @ HARBOR DAYS - WE NEED YOUR FEEDBACK!

Thank you to the thousands of you who came out to Village Park last night. Zion, Kenosha, Waukegan, Gurnee, Antioch, Pleasant Prairie, and everyone who made the drive, we are grateful you spent your Friday with us. We could not have asked for better weather, a better venue, or a better band. Bella Cain gave this community a night to remember.

We are grateful to every sponsor, volunteer, community organization, staff member, and elected official whose effort and collaboration brought this evening together for our residents and our visitors. That is what truly makes Winthrop Harbor great. A united community working for the good of its neighbors, and showing the region exactly what this town is.

Harbor Days 2026 is a milestone year for us, marking Winthrop Harbor's 125th anniversary and America's 250th. Planning for next year starts as soon as this weekend wraps, and what you tell us here goes directly into it.

So tell us what you think. Comment below with anything on your mind about Friday night, and like this post if you had a good time out there. Every comment gets read.

If you missed it, there is still time. The Angry Squirrels take the stage tonight at 6:00 PM, and the Judson Brown Band closes us out Sunday at 1:00 PM. Gates open at 10:00 AM daily and admission is free.
