Fishing dawn to dusk to dawn again!

This quad originally booked two back-to-back morning trips with us, but when we had the afternoon open, they asked if they could sneak in one more trip - and we were happy to deliver!

Coming in from across the Midwest to fish together, these four made the most of their time on the water, experiencing sunrises, sunsets, and plenty of serious work on the rods. And with full fish racks to show for it after each trip, I’d say they made those three trips count!

Our season is starting to draw to a close, which makes trips like these just a little sweeter. We’re grateful they chose to spend so much time with us and hope to have them back on board again!

Out making the Grand Slam of memories 🐟

Today’s father and son trip brought their limit of fish - while accomplishing a rare feat by reeling in 5 different Lake Michigan species!

While the bites weren’t fast and furious, today we made every bite count!

Anyone else in shock it’s already the middle of August?!? Where is the time going?

We’re in the full “wake, fish on, eat, sleep, and repeat” mode now as summer’s fishing is heating up (along with the temperatures - whew’)!

Big Fish 🐟 and Birthday Wishes 🎂

Adam and his family had a great day on the water, celebrating his daughter’s birthday with 26 fish hitting the deck - and the birthday girl reeling in the biggest one of the day!

From our customer Adam: “Super awesome trip. Matt did an outstanding job. We caught 26 big ones. What an awesome time. It was my daughter’s birthday. Will be back next season!”

Two days of fishing = twice the fun!

This crew made the drive to North Point Marina count, fishing both Friday afternoon and Saturday morning - and they definitely made the most of the weekend!

Great weather, great fishing, plenty of laughs, and racks of fish made for one heck of a couple of days on the water. To say we had fun together would be an understatement!

Congrats, guys, on a great catch. We had a blast having you onboard and look forward to doing it again!

Before the Blow, After the Blow

Sandwiched between last Thursday’s trip and today was one heck of a windstorm on the lake, complete with some pretty nautical waves that forced us off the water for multiple days.

But once Mother Nature got her temper tantrum out of the way, it was time to get back to Fish On!

Today’s trips brought better numbers of fish, but both groups had just as much fun trying to reel in the big ones.

A few days off the water was more than enough. We’re happy to be back at it! Thanks for fishing with us!

Flashback Friday time to this mother-daughter adventure two weeks ago!

Our customer Susan shared: “My mom and I are complete amateurs but really excited about the idea of fishing for salmon in Lake Michigan. We went early morning in July and had the trip of a lifetime!

Captain Matt will keep trying different methods and locations so that you can keep getting bites. He is a great communicator out on the water in important moments, still lets you sit in silence and enjoy the incredible views, and gives excellent advice and support if that’s what you prefer. (We did.)

We ended up with 5 steelheads and 5 king salmon in 4.5 hours, with 3 of those kings on the larger side.”

We’re now in the throes of summer fishing!

Today’s trip was round 2 for these repeat customers this season! They joined us this spring for the Coho Salmon bite and returned to experience the King Salmon season.

The result? A fish box filled with silver.

With an early morning start and a bit of a grind to put the fish together, this group did an excellent job on the rods and landed King Salmon, Coho Salmon, Steelhead Trout, and a Brown Trout—a great mixed bag and another memorable trip on Lake Michigan!

Family fishing fun! It’s always a treat when someone who has fished with us before comes back and brings new people along.

This time, Buwen brought his family to experience a day on Lake Michigan together.
