Congratulations to Alec Stewart with crews Tiare Sierra on Saturday and Paige Omura on Sunday this year’s winner of the Snipe New England Championships! The Make-A-Wish and Snipe New England Championships is just a few weeks away! This regatta benefits and supports their mission to grant life changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. Scenes from the 4th annual A/B regatta last weekend! Congratulations to our winning team was “Old and in the Way”, with A Division sailors Bob Adam and Stephanie Adam. In B Division, Ted Keenan and Katherine Jankowski sailed on Saturday, with Arthur Blodgett and Darby Capellin taking over on Sunday.

A Division low-point winners were Michelle Lahrkamp and Alison Keenan and William Kulas and Grant Schmidt who topped the B Division standings.

This regatta was especially focused on encouraging new participation in the class, and it was a great success in that regard — nearly 20% of the competitors were sailing in their first Snipe regatta! Additionally, over half of the competitors were under 30.

Thank you to Cottage Park Yacht Club for hosting, Race Committee lead by Sue Hardy, and all fleet members who lent their boats.
