Winter trap league: 10 week season running from January thru March on Wednesday evenings.

We had another great night for shooting last Wednesday and some good scores shoot. In trap Scott Killian, Bob Killian, Gail Murphy, Rich Wachholz and Tom Sorenson all shot 25 straight at 16 yards. Butch Harry, Scott Killian and Gail Murphy shared high gun honors with 47. In 5-Stand Jim Barton was high with 44 and Jeff Chojnacki was right behind with a 42. Let's hope this string of good weather on Wednesday nights holds up!

Yesterday we had the opportunity to host the MSTC Trapshoot Fundraiser. We welcomed 50 shooters and many MSTC volunteers. We managed to get shooting completed before the rains and were even able to get an Anne Oakley in. We had a ton of raffle baskets and a good time by all. Thanks to the MSTC volunteers and our club volunteers everything ran smoothly. We look forward to having them back next year!

We had a nice but breezy night Wednesday for shooting. 25 straight from 16 yards were shot by Scott Killian and Andy Knuesel. Butch Harry is still leading after 2 weeks with a 48.5 average and Tom Stuart is second with a 46.0 average. In 5-stand, high gun honors are shared by Matt Alft and Jon Hoffman with 45's and they share the 2nd week lead with 86.
On a more important note; let's all take some time to remember 9/11!

We had a hot and muggy night for shooting but also some hot shooting. Bob Killian, Rob Murphy, Chris Kawleski, Butch Harry and Tom Sorenson had 25 straight from 16 yards. Butch Harry and Tom Stuart had 25 straight at handicap. Butch Harry is the week 1 leader with a 49, followed closely by Bob Killian and Tom Stuart with 47's. Jeff Chojnacki was high gun on 5-stand with a 43 with Bob Gurrath a close 2nd with 42. There is still time to get signed up and shooting on trap or 5-stand next Wednesday.

Just because we wrapped up summer league, don't put your shotguns away. We have 2 fall leagues starting Wednesday night September 2nd. The first is trap where you shoot a round at 16 yards and then handicap depending on your 16 yard score. The second is 5-Stand. Both leagues run 6 weeks with a party and awards ceremony on Wednesday October 14th. Hope to see you there!

We capped off our 2026 Summer Trap League with a party last night. We had great weather, some good shootoffs and a good turnout. Congratulations to all the winning teams and to those who won high average and high gun awards. Thanks to everyone that participated and hope to see you next summer.
We do have 2 fall leagues starting September 2nd, details will follow.
