Sometimes it is about more than the game. Hockey people have always had a culture of being there for one another. We were honored to do our part with our friends at to support the 3yr old brother of one of their players. Thank you to for helping get this done on short notice! 👍🏻

Put a bow on it! 4th year of for the boys and 1st for the girls. Over 120 kids this year rep’ing the EHF, E9 and NEGHL hockey leagues. Kids from Mass, NH, Maine, CT, NY and FL all participated as well as from Toronto. 9 weeks goes by fast, but it’s great watching the kids have fun in the off season playing with kids they compete against in the winter! Now we just need to start thinking of next year’s theme and jersey design!

ODR day and night. Thanks to for helping make the vision come to life. All the ODR builders out there spend a ton of time taking care of their baby and it’s all worth it when the kids get out there creating a lifetime of youth memories. Fingers crossed winter is colder than forecasted!

What should be the most important thing in player development? National ranking? Nope. Name of front of the jersey? Strike 2. Coaching? Winnah winnah chicken dinnah! When you add (1) Kerstin Matthews Mead, current NCAA Div 1 coach, (2) retired NHL’er, Keith Aucoin and (3) former minor pro/current high school varsity coach, Jeff Mead to your 2012 coaching staff, good things happen for the kids. Some teams are focused on national rankings and winning now. Our staff with well over 125 yrs of combined coaching and playing experience knows that is not what builds and molds a hockey player over time. A coaching style of positive reinforcement at games and practices builds confidence at an important time. Long-term player development is the answer.

came to an end this week with over 90 kids participating. Those kids came from over 20 winter teams from MA, NH and NY. It’s great to see their growth and looking forward to keeping this going for years to come. No coaching, no keeping score; just some unstructured hockey in a fun environment where the kids have to figure things out for themselves. Time to start thinking about next year’s theme. Suggestions welcome!

We all get complacent and tired, but we should just make the darn chili more often! The clock is not slowing down and we can’t turn it back!

Happy Mother’s Day to all our TG moms, especially the one from Miami who never dreamed she would be dropping pucks for kids hockey games in her backyard!

Dropped off our last face shields this week. Really proud of our Top Gun teams, the hockey community and local friends in the business community who stepped up to help raise $8,000 for . Nursing homes have been hard hit by this outbreak and has been hard to come by. Through the group’s efforts, we were about to deliver approximately 1,200 face shields to nursing homes in Massachusetts and NH. As well, we shelled a in our local community as they pivoted to making the face shields to help first responders. Bravo! ❤️ @ Wi******er, Massachusetts
