Nobody really talks about this part of parenting…

When your children grow up and start having lives of their own. 🥹

They’re spending more time with friends. They’re building relationships. Some are getting engaged, starting families, building careers and creating lives that don’t always include you in every plan.

And you find yourself thinking…

Well, what am I supposed to do now? 😂

For so many years, being Mom was a huge part of my everyday life. Making sure they were okay, showing up, helping, supporting and being involved.

But there comes a beautiful moment when you realize… they’re doing exactly what you raised them to do.

They’re becoming their own person.

And while they’re discovering who they are, I get to continue discovering who I am too.

I can enjoy my own company. Do the things I love. Try something new. Take myself somewhere nice. Pour back into myself and enjoy this season of my life without feeling guilty about it.

Because my life didn’t stop when my children grew up. It just changed.

Now I get to look at my adult children and celebrate the people they’ve become. I get to watch them walk confidently in their own identity and think, “Wow… look at them.” ❤️

And then I get to look at myself and say…

“And look at me too.”

I raised them. I loved them. I poured into them. And now I get to celebrate them AND rediscover and celebrate me.

Maybe an emptying nest isn’t really about what you’re losing.

Maybe it’s about making room for everyone to become. ❤️

Lately, I’ve been learning that sometimes it’s okay to just… REST. ❤️

We can get so caught up in the hustle, the responsibilities, the checklists and constantly asking, “What’s next?” that we forget to stop and appreciate what God has already allowed us to accomplish.

Recently, my admin asked me, “So what’s next? What do you want to do next?”

And I just looked at her like… girl, I don’t know! 😂

Normally, I have an answer. Another idea. Another goal. Another thing I’m ready to tackle. But this time, I didn’t.

After talking with my son, I realized something. Maybe I don’t know what’s next because right now, I’m supposed to rest and enjoy what already is.

I’ve been an entrepreneur for over 33 years. When I really sit and think about that, whew! 🙌🏽 Through the good seasons, the hard seasons, the disappointments, the victories and all the moments when quitting would have been easier…

I’M STILL STANDING.

I didn’t give up. I didn’t quit. God kept me, and I kept going.

Maybe every season doesn’t require us to build something new. Maybe some seasons are meant for us to sit back, breathe and actually enjoy the fruit of all those years of labor.

I know there will be a “next.” And when it comes, I’ll be ready.

But right now?

I’m learning to enjoy THIS. ❤️

Anybody else learning that rest is productive too?

Have you ever reached a place where you felt you weren't finished?

🎶💜 I ONLY HAVE C.U.T.E. FRIENDS! 💜🎶

And when I say CUTE, I’m not just talking about how we look—although my girls stay CUTE! 😂💅🏽✨ I’m talking about the kind of women I choose to do life with:

💜 C — Confident
💛 U — Uplifting
💜 T — Trustworthy
💛 E — Empowering

I wanted a song that captured what friendship looks like in this season of my life: grown women who can laugh together, pray together, shop together, travel together, encourage each other, celebrate each other’s wins, talk business, love God, and simply enjoy LIFE together.

So yes… I made us a SONG! 😂🎶

Because at this age, I’m protecting my peace, enjoying my life, making memories, and surrounding myself with women who add something beautiful to the journey.

You can’t be my friend unless you’re C.U.T.E.! 💜💛😂

Great friends. Great vibes. Great memories.
Welcome to the C.U.T.E. Friends Club! 👑💜✨

Now tag one of your C.U.T.E. Friends who needs to hear OUR new anthem! 🎶🔥

It’s the weekend, girl! 🙌🏽💜

Before you rush into the next thing on your list, can we take a minute and celebrate the fact that YOU MADE IT THROUGH THIS WEEK?!

Seriously.

Sometimes we move through life so quickly, going from one task to the next, one responsibility to another, that we never stop long enough to say, “Thank You, God. You brought me through another week.”

And every win deserves to be celebrated. The big ones AND the little ones.

Maybe you finally finished something you’ve been putting off. Maybe you showed up when you really didn’t feel like it. Maybe you handled a situation differently than the old you would have. Maybe you simply kept going.

That counts. 💜

So this weekend, do something different. Be intentional about enjoying your life.

Dance a little. 💃🏽
Go shopping. 🛍️
Sit somewhere with your favorite cup of coffee. ☕
Read a few chapters of that book you keep saying you’re going to finish. 📖
Laugh until your stomach hurts. 😂
Or do absolutely NOTHING for a minute without feeling guilty about it!

Whatever brings you joy, make room for it.

And somewhere in the middle of enjoying your weekend, look at yourself and say, “Girl, you did a GREAT job this week!” 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

As for me, you already know I’m going to find something to smile about and probably something to laugh about too! Life is too precious not to enjoy the moments God gives us. 💜

Now tell me, what’s ONE WIN you’re celebrating from this week? Big or small, I want to hear it! 👇🏽

08/06/2026

I’ve realized that every day isn’t about being the best. It’s about becoming a better version of myself than I was yesterday.

Some days the progress is big. Other days it’s as simple as choosing not to quit, taking one more step, praying one more prayer, or making one better decision. Those small wins matter, and I’ve learned to celebrate them because they remind me that growth is happening.

I’m not in competition with anyone else. My journey isn’t measured by someone else’s timeline, success, or highlight reel. God has written a unique story for my life, and my responsibility is to keep becoming the woman He created me to be.

When I stop comparing and start growing, I find peace. I find purpose. I find joy in the process.

With God, all things are possible. He isn’t asking me to become someone else. He’s inviting me to become the very best version of who He created me to be.

So today, celebrate the progress you’ve made, no matter how small it may seem. Every faithful step is moving you closer to the person you’re becoming.

What’s one small win you’ve had this week that you’re proud of? Let’s celebrate it together in the comments. 💜

I’ve heard people say, “I want your life.”

And every time I hear it, I smile because what most people see is the highlight reel. They see the success, the opportunities, the confidence, or the influence.

What they don’t see is what it cost to get there.

They don’t see the late nights, the hard decisions, the disappointments, the prayers, the seasons of waiting, or the moments when giving up would’ve been easier than pressing forward.

The older I get, the more I realize that I don’t want someone else’s life. I want the life God designed for me.

Because the truth is, every blessing comes with a process. Every purpose comes with a price. If you chase someone else’s assignment, you may end up carrying a weight God never intended for you to bear.

I’ve learned there’s so much freedom in being authentically me. I don’t have to compare my journey to anyone else’s because God isn’t asking me to become them. He’s asking me to become the woman He created me to be.

So the next time you’re tempted to say, “I want your life,” remember this… you may not want the price tag that came with it.

Instead, thank God for your own journey and trust that His plan for your life is worth every step.

Have you ever caught yourself comparing your journey to someone else’s?
