Small competition at FAP North today. Won by our BCAF friend Klaudia Shick who defeated Jennifer Niemeyer in the semi-final.

Some activity on the competition side, Paolo, along with Matt Billing, Aidan Parte and Gerald Duffy, took their épée team to Dublin for their second year participation in the Duffy memorial épée tournament.

After a pool of three matches, the O’Mamas, as they are known, came into the DE bracket in fourth position. After three DE matches, they secured a bronze medal, losing a squeaker in the semi-finals 45-43.

It’s a sad day.

PFA, training home for Circolo della Spada Aventino for almost two years, has been sold. We are most grateful for the privilege of using this fine facility, but also heartbroken that it will not continue as a fencing salle.

CdSA is in the wind for the moment, but, since it is really a spirit more than a place, we will persevere.

Plus, we still have the baddest club jackets around. :)
