We are heartbroken to share that the McGowan family is facing an unimaginable loss following a tragic accident.

Ann McGowan has been a longtime volunteer coach with NYSA and Northshore Select Club and currently serves as a Sound FC coach in NYSA’s premier club. Beyond soccer, Ann has dedicated her career to serving local youth through her work with the Northshore School District. She and her family have been an important part of our community for many years.

Sound FC GU13 - National Champions!!!!

The Sound FC girls 13U team has been competing in the US National Soccer Championship tournament in Nashville, TN. The Sound team is based out of Woodinville and serves the north sound region including Edmonds, Kenmore, and Bothell. They punched their ticket to Nationals after winning State Cup in May earlier this year, a huge feat in itself.

Despite the extreme weather conditions in Nashville of pouring rain, thunder, lighting and direct sun exposure and humidity in the mid 90s, the girls have battled and gone the distance! After going 2-1 in pool-play versus Kentucky, South Carolina, and Mississippi, the Sound team advanced as the #1 wild card. They then beat Cook Inlet from Alaska (2-0) in the quarter-finals and Braddock Road from Virginia in the semi-finals winning in PKs (4-2). They have now advanced to the National championship finals that will be played at 8am on July 23rd. They will face Desoto from Mississippi who is the team’s only loss during original pool-play.

This Sound team is all about teamwork. The eight (regulation) goals were scored by four different players with four assists. The defense has only given up two scores with the goal keeper preventing two goals during the semi-final PK shoot-out.

Hopefully, by the end of tomorrow, we’ll be celebrating the addition of a star above our club crest to commemorate a National Championship. But regardless of the final result, the pride we feel in what this team has accomplished will never fade. They have already made history, and they will always be champions in the eyes of the Sound FC family.

Free Summer Soccer Opportunity!

Our friends at Seattle Youth Soccer Association (SYSA) are hosting a FREE 5v5 Jamboree on Saturday, July 12 for recreational players in the U9–U12 (2025–26 season) age groups.

Players can register individually or as a team of friends, and every registered participant receives a free t-shirt. It's a fun, low-pressure way for kids to get extra touches on the ball and enjoy some summer soccer.

Registration closes this Saturday at midnight, so please share this with any families who may be interested.
