Want FREE judges' feedback on your dressage ride?
Seeking demo riders for the upcoming USEA Dressage Judges' Training Symposium in Hampshire, IL on Sept. 29-Oct. 1. Horses and riders should be able to complete one or more tests at any level between Starter through Prelim. They will be grouped according to level. Riders are asked to commit for a minimum of half a day, with ride sessions expected to be 1-2 hours. Ride times will depend on horse/rider level and the symposium schedule.

Symposium hosted by Fox Valley Saddle Association in collaboration with US Eventing Association. Permanent stabling, ample parking, and RV electric hookups available onsite. Demo riders and FVSA members free to audit, low auditing fee for all others.

Not an eventer? You are still welcome to participate! Please reach out to learn more. The highest level test (Preliminary) will be similar to USDF First Level tests with a few Second Level movements. The lower level tests require walk/trot/canter, posting trot, and transitions to halt through the walk.

Today marks 6 years since Jigsaw Farms became a reality- many of you have heard our story before - 20+ years of dreams and hard work, disappointment and tears and a belief that a better future for a very special little man was possible.

There have been so many people in our lives that helped make Jigsaw possible- milestone moments and people who made a difference flash through the years in my mind - since Jake was 3 years old sitting on the floor doing therapy - to being put astride a horse at 5 - to the years of fighting and pushing the school district and teachers to share our belief that there was so much potential to unlock - our friends and family who let us cry and yell or cheerled from the sidelines - to his coaches and riding instructors to the "kids" who reached out across a divide to meet Jake where he was and continue to grow. To our work family who welcomed our chaos and allowed us to drag Jake around the world to give him experiences that were the adventures of a lifetime - to our travel buddies who embraced Jake and surrounded us with love and acceptance which we know is not the norm. To our dreams finally coming true at Jigsaw and the small band of exceptional humans and horses that took the leap of faith with us and continue to understand that Jigsaw is so much more than a horse farm.

Today at the Farm we continue to be surrounded by some of the most amazing people - our phenomenal staff led by Sammy and our boarder family at Jigsaw, the amazing support of Ms Jennifer and the L'Esprit Team as well as by a group of ladies ("girls") who have profoundly changed Jake's life for the better and continue to support him even when not a daily part of his life. We could not imagine being on this journey without any of you and will forever be grateful.

A special acknowledgment needs to be mentioned to our family. To the best husband and father imaginable, to the brother who carries so much and is the biggest advocate and best friend and to our extended family who has walked 30 years of this path with us - there are no words - just love.

We sometimes say Jake is a bit like the mob - if he decides you belong you belong forever - so to all of you that have crossed our paths please know you are part of this journey and will be remembered always - so on our 6th anniversary at Jigsaw Farms we send you all our gratitude for being part of The Founder's "Mob"
