💗 That Feeling…
..when “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger” doesn’t quite tell the truth.
Sometimes what didn’t kill you hurt you.
Deeply.
It frightened you. Exhausted you. Changed how you saw people, life, and even yourself.
Pain itself doesn’t automatically make us stronger.
What can make us stronger is what happens afterward.
The day you ask for help.
The moment you finally say no.
The time you stop pretending you’re okay.
The boundary you create.
The truth you finally allow yourself to feel.
Sometimes strength isn’t becoming harder.
Sometimes it’s allowing yourself to remain tender—to laugh again, trust again, feel again, and believe that joy still belongs in your life.
Maybe what happened didn’t make you stronger.
Maybe you participated in becoming stronger through all the small choices no one else saw.
