Happy February!!

Coach’s corner 💪🏽

Think about a given day in your life. Now imagine your day from 7am-5pm.

How many things occur that you have control of in those 10 hours? Think hard about your routine.

Making coffee , driving to work, what happens at work, who calls out, who’s in a bad mood, who’s driving the same highway as you.

Now imagine all the things that stress you out daily. Out of the things/instances that stress you, imagine what is in YOUR control.

Can you control what others say to you?
No.
What can you control?
How you react /respond.

Can you control what others think of you?
No.
What can you control?
How you react /respond.

There is SOOO little we have actual control of on any given day. I challenge you next time you’re upset about something or feeling the need to dwell, first ask yourself, can I control this?
If not. Move on and move forward.

What’s your passion /purpose ?

Passion is defined as a strong liking or desire for or devotion to some activity, object, or concept.

Purpose is defined as an abiding intention to achieve a long-term goal that's both personally meaningful and makes a positive mark on the world.

Do you have a hard time often trying to find your passion? Or have you lost a passion you once had? Maybe , just maybe the goal shouldn’t be to find your passion or purpose but rather first identify what it is not.

If you have a passion to not hurt people or cause more pain in this world work to discover ways to avoid. If you have a passion to build people up and lead others, then work to find out how they learn, how they grow and most importantly where they are.

Often times we do the same things over and over again and can’t figure out why the outcome is not what we want. We have to be able to flex not only our minds but our intentions.

We blend a nice mix of Cardio/HIIT, metabolic conditioning, circuits , partner work, full group work and much more. We meet Mon/Wed/fri from 5:15am-6:15am. Your workout is done before the sun comes up and you can start your day. I am offering a new client special for the remainder of January. 4 weeks, unlimited classes for $69. If you take advantage and take every class it’s $5.50 a class! You will not find that anywhere, I promise. If you know of any friends struggling and needing support, group fitness is the best route to take. I have an amazing group of ladies that are all ages & abilities who will make you feel at home 🏡❤️

Honoring your self ⭐️

As we enter the last few days of 2023 let’s reflect on what we’ve honored in the last 363 days.

Have you honored the good? The bad days? The hard feelings ? The happy moods. Honor it all.
When I say honor I mean acknowledge, give grace , give kindness, and most importantly give gratitude.

You’re here , you’re alive. You went to bed last night and you woke up today.

Honor the goals you achieved, the goals you fell short of and the goals you want to pack up and carry into 2024.

On the days you feel the gloomiest, get up and look around. See what you’ve become.

It’s a new month friends

The humidity is gone. Most of the mosquitos have found their lives elsewhere and we can start fresh.

I’d like to challenge you this month to adding something each day , something that will won’t take long , maybe 1 minute , to jumpstart and shake up your body. Get the heart moving.

Each morning look for my 1 minute challenge.
I like to view October as preparation month , preparing for holidays. The 31 days will go quicker than you would like . Enjoy them.

Coaches corner ⭐️

What’s your barrier….

There’s barriers to everything and everyone. Something always will conflict with your plans. Whether it be kids, work, lack of sleep, lack of motivation.

It’s important to journal this. Write down what YOU want to change or improve in. Whether it be working out 3-4 times a week, or cutting out fried food, prepping meals , etc. Create a column for your barriers and be aware of what could get in the way and be cognizant of this during the journey. This awareness will help you conquer and overcome the barriers.

Start small. Some people wake up and say they want to workout everyday. Make the goal more realistic. Start with 3-4 days of 30-45 mins of exercise and build up.

Let your loved ones and friends know of your goals . MAKE them hold you accountable. Ask them to check in with you. Might feel like nagging but some of us need it.

Don’t give up the fight

Coaches corner…..

This quote was said yesterday in bootcamp from one of my favorite campers. I’ll give you a clue , she has 3 kiddos & teaches 👩🏻‍🏫.

It got me thinking.

How often do we not do things because we think we can’t? This situation was involving her doing chest press with 20lb dumbbells , but imagine other situations this could relate to?

We often become comfortable being comfortable and struggle to become um comfortable for obvious reasons of fearing the unknown.

I challenge you once a day. Even for 30 seconds. Try something you think you can’t do. A push-up, a recipe , an online class, a hobby , anything.

Get comfortable being uncomfortable 🩷

“Let them know”

Let people know when they’re doing well, not just when they aren’t doing their best.

Let people know you see their efforts and you know they’re working hard despite the world around them not noticing.

Too often are we go go go and feel like we’re running on coffee and prayers.

If you see someone pushing thru a tough situation, I promise you, they doesn’t know they’re doing great and they think they’re failing. Let them know

If you see someone working long hours and feeling guilt of no time with their family. Let them know you appreciate them and they’re efforts will be worth it.

We are humans who often push aside the pain and struggle in order to March forward. If we can do one thing to enhance someone’s life. Do it.
