Mel Melkonian is one of those special people.

For generations of athletes in Worcester, Mel has been far more than a coach, mentor, and leader. She has been a champion for young people, a role model for women in sports, and a driving force behind the growth of softball in our city. Her impact can be measured not only in wins and accomplishments, but in the confidence she helped build, the opportunities she created, and the lives she touched along the way.

At Worcester Union, we are incredibly grateful for the guidance, support, and passion Mel has shared with our organization. Her love for the game and unwavering commitment to helping young athletes succeed have helped shape who we are today.

Congratulations on your induction into the Clark University Hall of Fame. It is a fitting honor for someone whose legacy extends far beyond any field, scoreboard, or trophy case. Your influence can be seen in the countless players, coaches, and families who are better because they had the opportunity to learn from you.

Big weekend for Worcester Union 12u Lee!

They finished as finalists at the Ed Keene Memorial Tournament! The girls battled all weekend long and fought through some really tough conditions before falling to KP Pride in the championship game.

This group continues to show toughness, heart, and resilience every time they take the field. We’re proud of the way you competed and represented Worcester Union all weekend long.
