We are pleased to announce the dates for Colonial Curling's 2026 Summer Sessions.

This summer, we'll be offering 2 Sessions on Friday evenings and 2 Sessions on Sundays evenings. Those dates/times are:

- Fridays, Session 1 (June 19th @ 7:00pm, July 3rd @ 6:30pm, July 10th @ 7:30pm, and July 31st @ 9:30pm)
- Fridays, Session 2 (August 7th @ 9:30pm, August 14th @ 7:30pm, August 21st @ 9:30pm, and August 28th @ 9:30pm)

- Sundays, Session 1 (June 21st @ 5:00pm, July 5th @ 5:00pm, July 12th @ 5:00pm, and July 26th @ 6:30pm)
- Sundays, Session 2 (August 9th @ 5:10pm, August 16th @ 6:00pm, August 23rd @ 6:00pm, and August 30th @ 6:00pm)

A visual calendar is also attached to this message.

This summer, each Session will consist of 4 evenings of curling at a cost of $30/evening. This will bring the total cost of registration to $120 per Session (or $220 when you bundle both Friday or both Sunday Sessions).

When registering, we ask that you select either Friday evening(s) or Sunday evening(s). By doing so, you will reserve your preferred evenings and will be guaranteed a spot in that Session's draw schedules. That said, when space is available, members are always welcome to curl on the opposing evening as well at no additional charge.

* Please note that space in the opposing evening isn't guaranteed. Unfilled draw spots or empty sheets may also be filled by drop-in curlers, scheduled Learn to Curl classes, paid practice ice rentals, or other Colonial Curling commitments before those spots are offered to members from an opposing evening. *

If you're interested in Registering, you may do so through Colonial Curling's website, or via the link below:

Registration for both Friday evenings and Sunday evenings will open at noon on Sunday May 31st.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.

We received some unfortunate news today. Due to a scheduling problem, our 'Make it a Double!' bonspiel can no longer take place as planned. We're going to have to cancel it.

Registered teams should have received an e-mail from president[at]colonialcurling.org with an explanation, an apology, information about refunds, and our attempt to make it right.

We also wish to send a sincere thank you to the committee that helped to plan the event, the ice team that was lined up to assist, those who advertised for and vouched for it, those who crafted the event trophies, and those who were signed up to be event volunteers. Your efforts will not have been wasted as we'll take much of it and reuse it for next year.

This weekend's 'YAK' is not impacted nor are our upcoming Learn to Curl classes or our upcoming Draws.

Good curling, and please accept our humble apologies. We were looking forward to 'Make it a Double!' just as much as our registered teams were.

Last Wednesday local 8th graders got the chance to give curling a try. Throughout the lesson, they learned all about how forces, friction, energy and Newton's laws play a role when sweeping and throwing stones!

Thank you again to our instructors and assistants (especially those who joined us from Petersham Curling Club, Broomstones Curling Club, North End Curling Club, and Blackstone Valley Curling Club), who all helped make the day a fun and memorable experience for the students!

Physics and Curling Day was a sweeping success!

Last Wednesday, Colonial Curling teamed up with members from Broomstones Curling Club, Blackstone Valley Curling Club, North End Curling Club, and Petersham Curling Club to host a Physics and Curling Experience for over 150 local 8th graders. Thank you to all the volunteers that made this event a huge success! More pictures and videos to follow!
