Their first dance class is about so much more than learning to dance.

It’s walking through the door a little unsure and slowly realizing, “I can do this.”

The first friend they make. The first time they dance without looking back for you. Thr HUGE smile when they run out after class to show you what they learned.

They’re little moments, but they’re building something pretty big.

More than their first dance class. Their first little community.

Creative Movers + Preschool programs enrolling now.

What an incredible summer of community + performance ☀️

The sun was shining — and so were the JAWS FUN-Fluencers, P+ and SQUAD!

You can dance anywhere. But HERE, you’re part of something. A Legacy.

Because someday, they may not remember every step or every count. But they’ll remember what it felt like to belong. To look beside them and see a friend. To be nervous and do it anyway. To hear their community cheering for them. To discover that their voice, their creativity and their individual light deserve to take up space. These are the moments that quietly become part of who they are.

And through it all, a commitment to quality training in a space that LIFTS children up.

A huge thank you to our incredible community partners — Out to Lunch Festival & Farmers' Market The Original Italian. Festival Worcester Chamber of Commerce and the Worcester Literacy Event, the Worcester Common Oval for providing the perfect background and atmosphere. And a HUGE thank you to Worcester Cultural Coalition — for the generous grant support that helped make it possible to spread community, friendship + FUN all summer long.

This is what makes JAWS feel like JAWS. 💛

Community. Friendship. FUN.
And so many more opportunities ahead.

There’s a lot happening behind the scenes as a new season gets closer — planning, creating, dreaming and getting ready.

But underneath all of it, this is still what matters most.

A place to grow up.
A place to be challenged and encouraged.
A place to perform, try something new, make mistakes and keep going.
A place where friendships are made and where you get to be completely yourself.

Dance, voice and theatre are what bring everyone through the doors, but the community created along the way is the part that means the most.

We’re really excited for what’s ahead. 🤍

Here’s to another season of community, friendship and fun.

Tinsley’s role in Matilda Jr. is a Little Kid. Her favorite part of camp has been learning and dancing to all of the music! The most valuable thing she has learned is projecting her voice more. Tinsley does three sports, including cheer and dance. When she grows up, Tinsley wants to be a music teacher in the schools!

Susan has two roles in Matilda Jr, one as a Big Kid and one as a Parent! She’s super excited to be a part of camp this summer, and her favorite part of the production has been choreography and dancing. She worked hard to learn the songs, and she really hopes everyone likes the show. When she’s not performing, she is very active and loves to skate, rock climb, and swim! When Susan grows up, she wants to dance.

Rohan is funny, and he loves video games, animating, and coding. When he isn’t at theater camp, you can find him at home playing video games. Rohan’s favorite part of Matilda Jr. has been not having to dance, and something he is proud of is that he has memorized all of his lines quickly! One thing he hopes the audience sees during the performance is all the details. If he could make a holiday, Rohan would make it to celebrate video games!

Nevaya is an active girl who loves music, theater and drawing. When Nevaya isn’t at camp, you can find her doing one of those activities, particularly drawing. She plays the role of Lavender in Matilda Jr, and during camp she learned about stage directions. She is proud of herself for learning all of the songs, and hopes the audience is happy and pleased with the performance! Her favorite part of camp was the kindness of the teachers. If Nevaya could have dinner with any character, she’d choose Ms. Honey!
