The new winter season just produced a MEGA island 8-point. 🦌❄️
Leave it to to capitalize on a newly added season and finally close the chapter on a buck he’s been after for six long years. “I got a special one Monday evening to finish out a 6-year relationship with. The guys and I dubbed him Old Man a long time ago. Gotta be 8.5–9.5 years old. I’ve got multiple sheds from him over the years, including a matched set. He was literally the only deer I was going to target once winter season opened. In six years, I’d only seen him twice in person. Can’t believe I finally got him. Quick tape shows a 24” inside spread, 25”+ beams, heavy mass with a few extras. always a true mainframe 8, but one of the wildest looking deer i’ve seen with that width and mass.”
Not every day we get to see a 2-footer on here.
Hell of a buck, brother. Huge congrats on finally tagging Old Man. 💪🦌

Andy Partridge with a slammer in Zone5 before season closed out “My season has been great It became even better after I harvested this beautiful animal. The biologist estimated he was 6.5+ years old. I hit this deer on Monday after following blood trail for 3/4 of a mile the blood ran out. With the snow storm coming in I had to plow. On Thursday returned to the same woods and we crossed paths again.” Congrats again man, great buck.

The trials and tribulations of bowhunting. The highs and the lows.
hunt_617 endured the lows for 32 long days while searching for a buck he had arrowed. Almost daily, I’d get text updates on his relentless pursuit to recover this deer. Day after day, setback after setback, but he never quit.
In the end, he closed the chapter and recovered this absolute giant. Here are his words:
“Recovered 32 days after the shot. A lot of effort went into the recovery. Once the Zone 16 marsh mostly froze over, I was able to leave the waders in the car and cover much more ground. Way out in the marsh with about 20 minutes of daylight left, I fell through the ice up to my belly. Frozen and running out of daylight, I decided to beeline it back to the car and call it a day. Twenty-five yards later, there he was. Breaking through the ice and forcing me to change direction was some kind of divine intervention.”
True grit. Never giving up. Congrats again, man. 👊🦌

is no stranger to biggins and a past Buck of the Year winner for a reason. He put in the grind all season and sealed the deal in the final days of the year on this old public-land bruiser.
“Got on a target buck finally on the 30th, talk about down to the wire for the 2025 season. Passed a lot of young bucks, had encounters with a few targets, but just couldn’t get them to commit or stand still for a shot. Definitely a rough season, and I’m happy as hell to have gotten it done with the smoke pole on a mature public-land buck.”
Huge congrats again brother, well done 👊🦌

Aaron Bo with a calling of a successful season “Had one hell of a season. Tag soup NH. 8 pt shotgun and doe muzzleloader ma zone 5. Both harvested in single digit weather go figure. First scope eye/nose on the doe shot.
Thank you everyone who helped in the woods and at home.
Till next year my friends.” Congrats again Aaron!
