We’re hitting a partner WOD, cycling between shared sets of swings, calories, and toes to bar! Conditioning, power, and midline work all in one, and a partner to share the fun with! What more could you want?? Well, maybe you’d want some raw strength training in the form of deadlifts first, so we got you covered there, too. ;)
Come on in with your workout buddy and have as much fun as you’ve ever had while working this hard! The best workouts are shared with friends, so if you’ve got a pal that’s been on the fence, this would be a great one to bring with to. We’ll see you on the training floor!

Big birthday shoutout today to DJ, who ALWAYS brings the energy to each and every workout! He and his dad Doug are here consistently 3 days a week to put in the work together, and never fail to brighten the day of every coach and athlete in the class. DJ always lets us know that the workout is a “piece of cake!”, and we hope he has SEVERAL pieces of cake today!

This weeks featured WOD of the Week is going down TODAY! “Long Way Home” is a 22 minute partner WOD that’ll start easily enough, but the reps will accumulate quickly! Tag your partner and let us know how YOU’D go about breaking these reps up.

Chin up, it’s almost the holiday weekend! And, chinup, because there are few better upper body movements!
One of the most common wishes for people coming through our doors is to get their first pullup. And with patience, proper programming through progressions, and a supportive community, we’ll get you yours, too!

This Friday will be this week’s featured WOD, “Close Out”, which will certainly close out the week with a righteous pump! We will run it as two heats so everyone has a spotter for these high rep bench press sets. 2 rounds of 40 bench, 30 cals on the rower, 20 power cleans with the same bar (your spotter will run rack it for you so it’s set and ready to go!), and 10 bike cals. Be strategic on those bench reps, as the wall can come on SUDDENLY! Be sure to break while you still have some reps in the tank, especially on that first round: fail early and you’re in for a long grind. Second round, push it out closer to max effort sets in that one.
