My fitness journey started when I was a freshman in college. I started by taking an elective fitness class and from there, my love for it blossomed. I loved the way exercise made me feel and I was starting to look how I’d always wanted too! I had mostly only done traditional strength training at the gym and I loved it. Once I found out I was pregnant with my first baby, I knew I wanted to stay as active as possible, and I did.
About a year after I had him, I met Ansley who invited me to Burn. I was never really a group fitness girl, so I didn’t really think I would enjoy it, but I went anyway because she invited me. I ended up loving it! After becoming a mom, you lose the freedom to do whatever you want, whenever you want and coming to Burn gave me the outlet to get a great workout in quickly while I knew my son was taken care of.
I found out I was pregnant with my second baby about 6 months into my membership at Burn and I worked out there consistently my entire pregnancy! I even think a bodyweight conditioning workout is what ended up putting me into labor! That baby is now over a year old and Burn has helped me not only get back into shape, but also feel my best so I can be active with my kids. And I get to be there with my best friends. What more could you want!

Transformation Tuesday 💥: Meet Kate and read about her fitness journey with Burn Boot Camp Worthington!
I started at Burn Boot Camp September 2024 when a friend took me for my first camp and I’ve been coming ever since! I had previously tried many workout programs, but was never able to stay consistent. I would be motivated my first few weeks and eventually burn out when I didn’t get results quickly.
Coming to Burn and having the trainers know you and your child by name is so motivating and keeps you accountable in a positive way! After having my daughter I had gained a significant amount of weight and didn’t recognize myself anymore. I had previously focused on the number on the scale, but during my focus meetings at Burn I have learned that body composition is what’s most important. My only regret is not doing a body scan sooner!
So far I’m down 30lbs of body fat since starting! Burn Boot Camp has changed me just as much mentally as it has physically. I am forever thankful to be a part of this community and the impact it has had on my life inside and outside the gym!

This week we’re testing our baseline for 1-arm rows and rotational slams so we can track our progress and see those gains by the end of the month 💪
