🏁 2026 221 SPEEDWAY POINTS BANQUET! 🏁

We are SUPER EXCITED so I couldn't keep quiet about it lol !

The 2026 221 Speedway Points Banquet will be held at Sweet Onion Social in Vidalia, Georgia!

We know Vidalia isn’t right next door to the racetrack, but we felt like it was a great middle ground for everyone our local racers as well as all of our friends who travel to us from South and West Georgia.

We originally talked about doing the traditional formal-style banquet, but we decided to do something a little different. We truly believe this could be one of the coolest and most fun points banquets EVER !

Sweet Onion Social has bowling, an arcade, pool tables, a full bar, and some of the best food you could ask for at a banquet.

Instead of everyone just sitting around a table all evening, we want this to be something the entire family can come out and enjoy while we celebrate our 2026 season and recognize our racers.

Right now, we are planning for a Sunday evening in February 2027. We felt Sunday evening made the most sense so everyone can still go racing wherever they choose on Saturday, attend church Sunday morning, and then head to Vidalia to spend the evening with the 221 Speedway family.

🏆 Awards. Great food. Bowling. Arcade. Pool. Good times.

🏁 THANK YOU FROM 221 SPEEDWAY! 🏁

We want to thank everyone who decided to spend their Saturday night with us at 221 Speedway last night. What an awesome night of racing!

The pits were packed, the crowd was great, and the racing was absolutely incredible. We had side-by-side racing all night long, with drivers running three and even four wide at times.

And the track was absolutely RIPPING! Clone Heavy was turning sub-10-second lap times, making it the fastest we have ever seen 221 Speedway. 🔥

We can talk about the full fields we had in the adult classes, and that was awesome to see, but one of the coolest things from the entire night was seeing 12 ROOKIES sign up for a regular Saturday night race.

TWELVE ROOKIES! That right there is what growing this sport is all about, and we couldn't be happier to see that many young drivers coming through the gates and getting on the racetrack.
Rookie families, be on the lookout another Rookie Driving School is coming soon! 🏁

Again, thank you to every racer, family, crew member, fan, and supporter who came out and made last night what it was. We had an awesome turnout, incredible racing, and one heck of a night at 221 Speedway.

We will get all the points added up and released as soon as we receive the tire sample results back.

This may honestly be some of the best weather we’ve had since reopening 221 Speedway, and it’s looking like we’re going to have a really good crowd on hand!

If you’re sitting on the fence trying to decide whether to come.. COME ON OUT!!
You don’t get many late-August race nights like this in Georgia. We’re looking at a great evening and night of racing with temperatures dropping into the mid-70s! 🙌

🏁 2027 SCHEDULE 🏁

We are currently working on the 2027 racing schedule, and at this time our calendar is OPEN and SUBJECT TO CHANGE as we continue putting everything together.

Please keep in mind that several rounds of the Georgia Tread Challenge Series (GTCS) will be held at other facilities throughout Georgia, so not every GTCS date shown on the schedule will be a race night at 221 Speedway.

Our goal is to put together a schedule that gives racers plenty of opportunities to race, while also doing our best to avoid unnecessary conflicts with other tracks, major karting events, holidays, and special events around the region.

There are still open dates available, and we may add, remove, or move races, special events, practice days, schools, or other activities as the 2027 season gets closer.

The schedule posted at this time should be considered a WORKING SCHEDULE ONLY. Dates, events, classes, and locations are all subject to change before the 2027 season begins.

We wanted to get the early schedule out so racers, families, teams, and other tracks can begin planning ahead.

🏁 We’re looking forward to an even bigger 2027 season at 221 Speedway and across the Georgia Tread Challenge Series!

This Saturday night, Points Race #3 is coming to 221 Speedway, and the points battles are tight in just about every class! We’re expecting a great crowd and another awesome night of racing.

Junior drivers/parents: Remember, on points nights you cannot compete in both junior and adult classes. If your driver is old enough to move up, you must choose juniors OR adults for the night not both.

A big thank you to Matt Wise and his crew for coming out and testing a new scan system it worked flawlessly all night!

Congratulations to all of our winners. There was some awesome racing from start to finish. Thank you to our entire staff and everyone who jumped in and lent a hand to help make the night a success.

We know it’s been a hot and rain filled weekend, but it was great to see tracks all across the region get their racing in.

🏁 NEW VIRTUAL DRIVERS MEETING AT 221 SPEEDWAY 🏁

We’re always looking for ways to make race night run smoother and save everyone time at the track.

221 Speedway will be moving to a Virtual Drivers Meeting.

Instead of stopping the entire program and gathering everyone together for the same drivers meeting each race, we will have a drivers meeting video that racers can watch right from their phone before hitting the track.

The video will cover all of our standard race procedures, including:
• Starts & restarts
• Cautions and Raceceiver procedures
• Rough driving
• Black flags & penalties
• Entering and exiting the track
• Scales & tech procedures
• Driver and crew conduct
• Safety procedures
• Junior driver/parent conduct
• General race procedures

Any event-specific changes or announcements will still be communicated over PA at the track if needed .

Our goal is simple! less standing around, more racing, and a smoother race night for everybody.

All drivers will be responsible for watching and understanding the virtual drivers meeting before competing.
