As earlier promised,
attached is the official Cadet application.

Once again, to apply you must:
-Be at least 14 years of age and no older than the age of 21.
-Have a MINIMUM 2.5 GPA
-Have a clear record/background
-Make all trainings: we train twice a month (6 hours total) one Sunday morning a month & one Tuesday evening.
-Be willing to participate in community events such as the parades, Wyandotte Beautification, etc.

To apply, just print out these three pages and then bring it to the front desk of the Wyandotte Police Department.

We take applications from ANY city in the Downriver area.

Happy new year!
We are, as always, looking for qualified & engaged applicants to join our program! To receive an application, go to the front desk at Wyandotte Police Department - Michigan and ask for a cadet application.

To join you must:

It is very saddening for us to share the loss of one of our own, Detective Jay Sharpes. We thank you for always giving our group a good laugh while in the training room. Our deepest condolences to your wife, and family. May you rest easy.

apologies for not submitting any updates recently...

Our program is continuing to grow, and has grown tremendously within the past year. We are always looking for more participants! For any inquiries, feel free to message us through the page, or go to the front desk at Wyandotte Police Department - Michigan for an application.

We would also like to send our deepest condolences to every officer who lost their life in the line of duty recently. Thank you for your heroic efforts & for giving your life, to protect others.

For anyone seeking more information regarding the program...
•established in 2008.
•led by a Wyandotte Police Officer, with 4 advisors whom have all built tenure in the program.
•program has approximately 23 people in it, but is ALWAYS looking to grow.
•trainings are twice a month, prescheduled (one tuesday night and one sunday morning/afternoon).
•community service hours earned, and always looking for ways to give back to the community.
•ages 14-21.
•must maintain a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
•no misdemeanors/felonies.
•applications available at the front desk of the Police Department in Wyandotte.
•NOT ALL APPLICANTS OR PARTICIPANTS HAVE TO BE PURSUING A LAW ENFORCEMENT CAREER...program is designed for any teen or young adult looking to better themselves.
