Yesterday was a great day of Black Belt Testing with KSW Murphy and KSW Prosper!

For some, it was their very first black belt test. For others their 9th. We even had a student testing for 2nd degree. The dedication, perseverance, and training on display were inspiring to see.

Now it's time to put that hard work into action as we prepare for the Arkansas Tournament next weekend!

Ever wonder why everyone wears the same uniform in K*k Sool Won? It's not just tradition for tradition's sake. The WKSA uniform creates a sense of belonging and teamwork, turning a room full of individuals into a school, a tradition, and a martial arts family. It connects today's students to generations of practitioners who trained before them and shows respect for the art and its customs.

Come see us today at Wylie Rec Center. Today is The summer kickoff and there’s lots of fun to be had, including bounce houses, foam pits, music and more. From 9 AM to 11:45 AM . 

This year’s World Tournament was truly special. I’m deeply honored to have earned my 4th Degree Black Belt (사범님). 🥋

It felt particularly appropriate to have two other incredible instructors and friends walk with me for this promotion, Nicholas Spounias and Wendy Herrmann. Both have taught me so much about being a martial artist and instructor.

This achievement represents years of dedication, patience, and the guidance of so many incredible instructors, mentors, and training partners. I’m grateful to everyone who has supported me on this journey — and I look forward to continuing to grow, learn, and share what I’ve been taught with others.

Our students from K*k Sool Won of Murphy joined the fun at Wylie East High School’s Trunk or Treat! 🎃 From creative costumes to handing out candy, everyone had a great time connecting with families and friends in our community.

Events like this remind us that martial arts isn’t just about training — it’s about building strong, positive connections both inside and outside the dojang. 💪👊

What an incredible day! We recently hosted a hands-on Chool B**g event (the Korean term for nunchaku) where people of all ages came together to learn. It was amazing to see families, friends, and first-timers join in — everyone left with new skills and big smiles!
