100 MILES ⛰️🏃♀️
This weekend our own Melissa is heading to the starting line of the Mountain Lakes 100 Mile Endurance Run!
If you’ve spent any time at Achieve, you probably see her training, running a class, helping a member, working behind the scenes or somehow squeezing in miles on the treadmill at night time between everything else. 😂
Endurance sports can seem intimidating from the outside, but nobody starts at 100 miles.
You start with one mile. Then maybe a 5K. You get a little curious. You start wondering what else your body might be capable of. And somewhere along the way the thing that once sounded impossible becomes something you're actually training for.
And training for big goals doesn’t require unlimited free time or a perfect schedule. Your plan can flow around kids, career, responsibilities, unpredictable weeks, and real life. What matters is finding a plan that works for YOU and continuing to show up for it.
Your goal doesn’t have to be 100 miles, either.
Maybe it’s walking your first mile. Running a 5K. Hiking a mountain. Finishing a half marathon. Or someday standing at the starting line of an ultramarathon.
It just has to be something that makes you wonder, “Could I actually do that?”
We think that question is worth chasing.
Good luck at Mountain Lakes, Melissa! Your entire Achieve family will be cheering you on through all 100 miles. ❤️
Now go find out just how far those legs can carry you. 💪
