Yarmouth Colts We emphasize:

1. Player development. Individual player development is an important aspect of every practice and game. Positive, supportive coaching. Community.

The C**ts Soccer Club is a community organization whose mission is to provide Yarmouth kids the opportunity to learn and enjoy the sport of soccer in an encouraging and competitive environment. By participating throughout the season, our athletes learn age-appropriate soccer skills and strategies, as well as lessons in teamwork, discipline and sportsmanship.

2. Our coaches encourage and challenge players to learn, improve and play as a team. They try to identify and build on the strengths of each player in the belief that improved confidence leads to better play and a more positive team experience.

3. Team-oriented competitive play. We approach soccer with a competitive spirit guided by the belief that success is more than a number on the scoreboard. True success is found in the attitude players and coaches bring to the game and the way they approach growing and learning as a team.

4. Good sportsmanship and love of the game. We expect our athletes to play hard, play fair, have fun, and show respect for everyone involved in the game--coaches, teammates, opponents, referees, and spectators. We expect our coaches to keep sportsmanship and enjoyment of the sport a priority throughout the C**ts' years.

5. We believe in being a positive member of the larger team that is our community. Through charitable club efforts, we hope to model the significance of community involvement and to demonstrate that volunteerism and outreach can be fun and rewarding. We are a non-profit organization, run by volunteers and governed according to the guidelines set forth by Soccer Maine, the governing body for the sport in the state. Since our founding in 1992, our mandate and structure have changed dramatically, responding to the changing tenor of the community, shifting demographics, competing soccer options and to changes in the game itself. The Board has had to be (and, no doubt, will continue to be) flexible in its approach. However, one thing hasn’t changed over the years: we remain dedicated to the development of good soccer players... and even better kids.

The Fall C**ts soccer season is almost here!

📅 U11–U14 teams kick off on Sunday, August 23
📅 U9 & U10 teams begin on Sunday, August 30

Coaches will be reaching out to families soon with important season details, including practice schedules, team information, and everything you need to know about the Just For Fun Tournament in Cumberland over Labor Day weekend.

We can't wait to see everyone back on the fields for another great season.

🎉 Clam Festival Parade Logistics! 🦪⚽

Happy Clam Fest, everyone!

🎨 Float Decorating (Today: 12:00–2:00 PM)
We'll be decorating the float today from 12:00–2:00 PM at 56 East Main Street—or until we're done! Stop by for any amount of time to help decorate, paint, and pull everything together. We'd love the extra hands!

🚜 Parade Day
Come walk with us in the parade! Please meet us near the roundabout by the entrance of YES around 5:00 PM. This is usually where they line our float up. The parade begins at 6:00 PM.

Please note that roads around the school may begin closing around 4:30 PM, so plan for extra travel time and be prepared to park nearby and walk your player to the float.

🦸 What to Wear
Wear anything Yarmouth C**ts, or have fun with our comic-book theme! Think bright colors, capes, bandit masks, superhero accessories, comic-book characters, or anything fun and "comic book-y." Just make sure costumes and shoes are comfortable and safe for walking.

🏁 After the Parade
At the end of the parade, please meet your child near the Rosemont Bakery area. If you have a younger player, please remind them to check out with a C**ts adult volunteer before leaving.

C**ts Clam Fest Float: Important Update: Float Decorating is Friday, July 17 (Not Thursday)

🚨 Schedule Update: Clam Festival Float Decorating 🚨

Due to a delay in getting the float trailer, we've had to adjust our decorating schedule.

We need all hands on deck this Friday, July 17, from 12:00–2:00 PM at 56 East Main Street!

Please note: Float decorating is Friday, July 17 — not tomorrow, Thursday, July 16.

Thank you for your flexibility, and we're sorry for the confusion. We hope to see lots of C**ts players, families, and volunteers on Friday as we get our float ready for the Clam Festival Parade!

It’s almost Clam Festival time, which means it’s time to bring the C**ts float to life!

This year’s parade theme is “Comics & Cartoon Classics,” and we are creating a Bazooka Joe comic strip–inspired C**ts float. Think bright colors, comic bubbles, soccer energy, and lots of parade fun!

We would love help with a few things:

🎨 Float Decorating
We’ll be decorating the float at 56 East Main Street on Friday, July 17, from 12:00–2:00 PM if your player would like to help paint, decorate, cut, tape, build, or just bring good energy. Limited parking on East Main, so bikes are best, or you can park on Willow or at Grist Mill Park.

⚽️ Yarmouth C**ts Soccer Camp starts tomorrow at 8:30 for all campers! ⚽️

We're excited to welcome all campers for a great week of soccer, fun, and skill development!

📍 Camp Locations & Times:
• Rising K & 1st Grade (ages 5-6): 8:30-10:30 AM on the YHS softball outfield
• Rising 2nd & 3rd Grade: 8:30 AM-12:00 PM on the YHS field hockey field and softball outfield
• Rising 4th-8th Grade: 8:30 AM-12:00 PM on the YHS turf and grass fields behind the turf

⏰ Please arrive a little early on Monday, especially for check-in. All campers must be signed in by a parent/guardian on the first day.

🎒 Don't forget:
• Water bottle (refill stations available)
• Shin guards, cleats, and sneakers
• Sunscreen
• Healthy snack
• Backpack for belongings

📝 Still need to register? Same-day registrations are welcome. Please register online at www.yarmouthcolts.com before arriving.

🚲 If your child will be biking to and from camp, please let us know at check-in.
