With the sale of New Egypt Speedway, there is a lot of sadness, but also so much to be thankful for. This track has been a Saturday night home to our family for many years and has been the place where we’ve created some of our favorite memories.

I spent so many Saturday nights growing up in those stands watching Dad, and later got to experience the action on track for myself. Looking back, it really was some of the best times.

The wins, the losses, the good nights and the tough ones, and all of the great friends we’ve made along the way — we wouldn’t trade any of it. We’ll carry these memories and friendships with us long after the lights have gone out 💙🏁

🏁 TONIGHT’S RACING AT UTICA-ROME SPEEDWAY HAS BEEN CANCELED 🌧️

After reviewing the forecast and the continued threat of rain throughout the day and evening, we have made the decision to pull the plug on tonight’s racing program.

The forecast simply isn’t good enough to justify the risk of having our race teams, employees and fans travel to the speedway, only to potentially have the program washed out after everyone arrives.

With the possibility of tonight’s features having to be made up over the next two weeks and the second of those weeks being Championship Night the risk is simply too high.

We know making an early decision isn’t always easy, but we feel it is the best decision for everyone involved.

AUTOGRAPH NIGHT MOVES TO NEXT FRIDAY!

Autograph Night will now take place next Friday night and will be the FIRST thing on the schedule! Cars & drivers on the track at 6:00 PM!

We will also have the CRSA Sprint Cars joining us next Friday. Any CRSA drivers who would like to participate in Autograph Night are encouraged to do so. Make sure to bring your hero cards!

Mother Nature wins this one ⛈️

After watching the media outlets, they are calling for scattered thunderstorms this morning. The weather is expected to become more widespread, and possibly severe this afternoon in our area, with a risk of damaging winds, severe storms along with potential flooding.

We are canceling tonight's racing events.

Please stay safe, and take any necessary precautions.

Wednesday night recap at Utica-Rome Speedway-

‘Twas a hazy night in New York and another chance to learn against some of the best in the DIRTcar Racing 358 Modified Series.

We went from 7th to 6th in the heat, then 1st to 2nd in the consi to earn our spot in the feature.

Starting 24th, we were making laps before a flat tire on lap 12 sent us to the pits. We restarted 30th and worked our way back to finish 21st.

Next up: Saturday July 18th at Grandview Speedway Inc. 🏁
