Hi! I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Teresa, but most of my families know me as Ms. T!
I have been an ISR Instructor for 20 years, and I have truly loved every moment of it. 4 years ago I became a Volunteer Firefighter and last year I became an EMT! I’m a mom to 3 daughters, and we recently welcomed our very first grandchild, what a joy he is! My daughters and grandson all live in Florida, so while it’s hard being far away, I do love living up north. We also have two puppies, Shiloh and Kali, who definitely keep life fun!
I have worked with children for most of my life. Once I had a family of my own, I took a more corporate path for a while, but I never felt fully fulfilled in that environment. When a friend of mine, who was an ISR Instructor at the time, introduced me to ISR, I was hooked.
There is nothing like the feeling of watching a child learn a new skill and gain confidence in the water. It’s something I never get tired of. In fact, the more challenging the student, the more rewarding it is for me. One of the things I love most about ISR is that it allows each child to learn at their own pace, creating a better and more supportive learning environment for every student.
Over the years, I’ve also come to feel that ISR is so much more than swim lessons, it’s a family. My seasoned parents are always willing to offer a helping hand or share advice with newer families, and I love being able to create that kind of community.
Even though I no longer live in Florida, I will always be a huge Disney and Universal fan. I go every chance I can, and it’s still one of my favorite places to spend time with my family.
I’d love to hear from you! Leave me a comment and let me know how you found me, or ask any questions you may have!
