Another great group mountain bike ride tonight! It was awesome to see riders of all levels out enjoying the trails together. We had our faster riders pushing the pace and tackling every challenge including an unexpected leader (skunk tracking up trail 7) An intermediate group finding that perfect balance of fun and fitness(including a few hills ) and a beginner-friendly group making sure everyone felt welcome and supported.

Thanks to everyone who came out and helped. Looking forward to the next ride!

YAMBA completed a quick impromptu trail work day yesterday. We cleared a downed tree on 8, did some trimming on 8, cleaned up the large trees near the northern lockout point as well as a few other things. Thank you to Markus Houser, Ben Kelly, Jared Craig, Todd Boyer and Ray Fox for helping with this work.

A nice group enjoyed some excellent weather and trail conditions yesterday. This is a great time of year to appreciate the weather. Not too hot, not too cold. Great time to get out and ride your bike!

Rocky Ridge is now open. Our weekly ride is still on Thursday this week.

It’s raining… it’s pouring…

Please note that the timbering activity at Rocky Ridge has been completed, all trails have been re-routed, re-built and are open to all users. Please help ride these trails in!

NOTICE: Portions of Rocky Ridge County Park will be closed to the public beginning Monday, February 23, 2026, as outlined in red on the attached map. The Wildlife and Oak Timber parking lots will be closed, along with the Teal, Yellow, and Orange trails, as well as the new paved trail on the south side of the entrance road. This closure is expected to last several weeks due to timber removal in the affected area. The Hidden Laurel Parking Lot and all other trails will remain open. Please follow all posted signage and closures as we continue to manage the park’s forest ecosystem.

Despite a forecast filled with rain, we had an outstanding turnout for the Rocky Ridge Trail Work Day. A huge thank-you goes out to the dedicated volunteers who didn’t let a little wet weather keep them from giving back to the trails we all enjoy. Their hard work, teamwork, and commitment helped make the day a success — even if everyone left a little muddy and soaked!
Special thanks to:
Todd Boyer, Ben Kelly, Dan Walko, Ken Powers, Doug Hershey, Ed Flackler, Skip Durgin, Greg Stump, Bill Linnell, Sawyer Linnell, Steve Shelhamer, David Stull, and Jim Brown. In addition Markus Houser and Dan Smith for helping with the rough cut last week.
Your efforts help keep Rocky Ridge’s trails safe, sustainable, and enjoyable for the entire community. Thank you for volunteering your time and energy!
More work needed. New posting soon.
