The work of Yoga in Action happens all year round but I typically only post around this time…the Yoga Mala.
During this season, the biggest fundraiser of the year, we share the reasons why making yoga accessible to all is so very important in the hopes of gaining support to continue the work.
Yoga eases suffering. Physical, mental, emotional and beyond. There are endless statistics I could bore you with but instead I’ll highlight the work being done here @ YIA.
Our free classes are held in NH, ME & MA, open to the public (with a few exceptions) for people in cancer treatment or recovery (and their caretakers) those in substance use recovery (and their allies) for those living with disease or disability and more.
Not only are some classes held for people who identify with these categories, there are free community classes open to ANYONE.
The mission is to ensure all people have access to the therapeutic benefits of yoga regardless of social, physical and financial barriers.
So many of you have help me in my fundraising efforts before and I’m so very grateful for your continued support.
