The York County Flyers is a group of like minded Carolinians devoted to promoting interest in building and flying radio controlled model aircraft. We are an AMA (Academy of Model Aeronautics) sanctioned model aircraft club located in York SC. Our club boasts the largest membership of any AMA club in the metrolina area with over 100 active members engaged in all aspects of the hobby.

York County Flyers Club speaks out to keep soaring at current airfield - CN2 News YORK COUNTY, S.C. Thank you to all the members that turned out to speak on the clubs behalf. And a shout to Rock Hill EAA and the Dave Griffith Foundation for speaking in our favor to the County Council. Hopefully they heard what an impact our club has on the community.

The City of York has finally recognized our club, unfortunately, not in a good way. The city is trying to purchase our field from the county. The city plans to remove our club and make a park out of the old landfill.
We need your help Monday November 6th at 6:00 at the new County Building in York. We are asking you to show up and let the County know that the land is already in use and we maintain the area so the community doesn't have to.
If you are looking to grab a bite to eat tomorrow, stop by Carolina Fresh Farms and pick up some BBQ.
