One of the best parts of surfing has always been the people.
The waves bring us together, but it’s everything that grows around them; the shared meals, the open doors at the shop, and lineups full of friends, new and old...that really sticks with us.
Our night with , , and was the perfect reminder of that. Good stories, great surf, sweet tunes, and a shop full of folk who care deeply about surfing and the community that surrounds it.
We’re carrying that feeling straight into , where Grain and Finisterre are coming together to celebrate 100 years of hollow wooden surfboards and community that continues to shape surfing today. We can’t wait to keep the conversations going and spend another weekend with so many incredible people, both in and out of the water.

Surf Re-Evolution returns on September 19th 🤙
What started as a small gathering of friends and surfers has grown into one of our favorite days of the year. This year feels a little extra special as we celebrate 100 years of the hollow wooden surfboards. We’ve always liked to say that we picked up where left off, so the 14th Surf Re-Evolution is dedicated to the construction method that inspired us and so many others around the world.
Expect inspiring speakers, hands-on workshops, incredible surfcraft, live music, good food, films, and a community that believes surfing can be a force for good.
🎟️ Tickets are officially on sale now! Grab yours at surfreevolution.com or hit the link in our bio.
More announcements coming soon. We can’t wait to share what we’ve been working on. 🌊🪵✨
Plenty of paipos for everyone! 🤙
Join us tomorrow from 4–6 PM at Long Sands (Webber Rd. access) for a chance to get any of these paipos in the water.
Whether you’ve ridden one before or are completely new to it, we’ll have boards ready to share and plenty of stoke to go around.
After the surf, head back to Grain for an evening of community, live music from , surf films from , and pizza on the house.
There’s always something in the works at the shop, whether it’s a board just getting started, a fresh one being branded, a finished build heading out the door, an experiment taking shape, or a new design coming to life.
