We have two National Beach Wrestling Team Members! Maura and Emma both made the U20 National Team and Emma also made the Senior Level Team. Both ladies will have the opportunity to represent USA Wrestling at the U20 Beach World Championships in Katerini, Greece in September!

It’s with great sadness that we announce the passing of former assistant coach, Brook Landis.

Former York College assistant wrestling coach, Brook Landis, passed away peacefully in his sleep Monday evening after a brief illness. Coach Landis served as assistant wrestling from 1975 to 1989. He was very instrumental to the success of the wrestling team during that period, especially working with the upper weight class wrestlers. Under his guidance and coaching, several went on to earn NCAA D3 All American honors by placing in the top 6 at the national tournament. The success the wrestling team experienced during his time as assistant wrestling coach would not have been possible without his help. He was a good friend, a good coach,a loyal assistant plus a good person. I will miss him, as I am sure many of you who knew him will.

Brook's, wife, Cherry, wanted me to tell all of you who sent cards, letters and notes how much they meant to Brook as he dealt with his health dilemma in his final days. Per Brook's final requests, he is being cremated with no viewing, service or memorial. Rest In Peace, Coach Landis. You will be remembered & missed by all you helped in wrestling and life!
