Great job by the 12U Omega team this past weekend. The coaches continue to be proud of the persistence, hard work, and growth they see every time this team takes the field. They took the lessons learned from Game 3 Saturday and responded in a big way for Game 1 Sunday, showing resilience and a willingness to improve.

The semifinal game provided plenty of opportunities, but sometimes the game comes down to a strange bounce or a ball finding the right spot. Even so, the team competed hard from start to finish and left everything on the field.

Overall, it was a great weekend filled with valuable lessons and memorable moments. The experiences gained will help shape practices over the next few weeks as the team continues to learn, grow, and build on the progress they’ve made. The future is bright for this group, and there is plenty to be proud of.

Dates:
Monday, July 6th and Wednesday, July 8th
Pitchers & Catchers 5-6pm, General Tryouts 6-8pm

Location:
Bob Hoffman Sports Complex, York PA

Evaluations:
Tryouts will be conducted and evaluated by collegiate coaches, while our Lady Wolves head coaching staff observes throughout the process. We are excited to partner with Coach Erin Darhower and her staff from Darhower Softball Events. Coach Erin has dedicated the past 12 years to teaching lessons and more recently to conducting college showcases, camps, and clinics through her company, Darhower Softball Events (DSE). She currently is an Assistant Coach at Messiah University and has also coached at the college level the last eight seasons. Her previous coaching achievements were at Dickinson College, where she contributed to a conference championship in 2019 as a five-year assistant. Prior to Dickinson, she served as the interim head coach for Lebanon Valley College leading them in the 2018 MAC Commonwealth Championship Tournament. Erin was also an assistant coach for LVC in 2017 and for Millersville University in 2016. As a four-year player at West Chester University, she set multiple offensive records, including leading her team in home runs, triples, and RBIs during her senior year, where she ranked second in the conference in those categories. She hopes to continue sharing her experiences and expertise with the next generation of players.

The 10U girls had their first full tournament experience last weekend in Chambersburg at the Spring Showdown and while they are still developing together as a team, they held their heads high during struggles and cheered each other on every step of the way.

Vaida and Teagan won raffle prizes that the tournament gave out. And on Saturday - Vaida, Jordyn, and Miah were awarded MVP medals from the teams they faced.

Keep working hard and lifting each other up!
