To our Yuba City Racquet Club family, funeral service for Mike Bakis will be held next Wednesday, June 10th, at 11AM, at Saint Isidore Catholic Church (222 Clark Ave., Yuba City) followed by graveside services at Sutter Cemetery (7200 Butte Ave., Sutter).

A Celebration of Life will be held after the funeral services on June 10th, at approximately 2PM at Jim King’s residence, 1067 Hillcrest Avenue, Yuba City.

All are welcome to attend both the funeral services and/or the Celebration of Life.

Thank you to the hundreds and hundreds of people who have shared your thoughts and condolences with our Team and the Bakis family.

To our Yuba City Racquet Club family, it is with great sadness we share the passing of our beloved Mike Bakis.

Words cannot fully express the heartbreak we are feeling, and right now we are left with more questions than answers as we try to understand why such a vibrant soul was taken from us far too soon. Mike’s contagious smile, genuine kindness toward every member and employee, and unmatched professionalism in leading our Club will be impossible to replace. For over 25 years, Mike was far more than the face of our Club — he was its heart and soul. From literally the moment you walked through our doors, Mike’s welcoming presence made the Club feel like a second home to so many.

The Bakis family would like to sincerely thank everyone who has reached out with prayers, love, and support during this incredibly difficult time. Service information will be shared when we know.
