Starting a new tradition. Watch a game on Ramos.

Friday Night Lights! Falcon Football's first home game of the year, Friday August 28th.

In the name of school spirit. All returning wrestlers and new wrestlers that have been attending off-season practices can watch the first home football game of the year on me.

Wrestlers must meet at the stadium entrance gate at 6:00pm. I'm walking in with my family at 6:05pm. Come enjoy the game and support your school. I will only do this once a year, so take advantage! You must walk in with me as I'll be paying for the group at one time to take advantage of this.

Reminder- Falcon Freaks sticker are for sale at the school for $50. They get you in all games for free, discounts on dances, discount on yearbook and other great stuff. See the student store for more information.

Please click on the picture to see the complete information for the RVHS Falcon Hour and Tutoring. Currently only math tutoring is available, but they will be adding more. Falcon Hour is available for all students to utilize. Parents, if you do not know what Falcon Hour is, or about the tutoring offered, please read the picture and call the school to get more information. There is ZERO reason for any student to be academically ineligible, because the school offers many opportunities for them to get extra assistance.

Students academically ineligible will not be allowed to practice starting Monday, November 2nd, the official start of the high school winter wrestling season, and will not be allowed in the mat room until they have made eligibility on an official grade check date.

Nearby Saturday Camp Opportunity!!

Durham Wrestling Club is hosting the Walt Ulrich wrestling camp this Saturday 08/15 at their Chico club location. This is a great opportunity for you to get some extra technique and mat time in. We hope you take advantage of this.

All RVHS wrestlers that attend must register and pay for themselves, and will also need to have their own transportation to and from the camp. Work together and carpool if needed. RVHS Wrestlers that are verified as attending by camp staff will have half of their registration fee reimbursed to them next week from our boosters by Coach Ramos. Add your name and Ground Creatures in the venmo comments.

A little early summer update about the team. The crew have been putting in that off-season work and we are seeing some significant gains from all of the effort. πŸ’ͺπŸ”¨πŸ™Œ

We took 11 wrestlers to this years Yuba Sutter All American Wrestling Camp. Additionally, Jackson Dennis (Air Force Academy Camp), Derek Young (DC Midcal Camp), Kayden Summers (Cal Poly Mustang Camp), and Sam Fukumoto (Fullerton Camp) are all stepping it up a level and headed to additional summer camps on their own.

The mat room is full of hardworking and dedicated wrestlers mastering their craft in preparation for the upcoming season! The summer lifting program just got started as well, and we can't wait to get back into competition. πŸ’šπŸ–€πŸ¦…β€ΌοΈ

If you participated in the recent car show in anyway, thank you. That fundraiser event directly paid for this camp. πŸ™ŒπŸ™

Reminder- All high school wrestlers need to be cleared on Home Campus. For the Summer, we are lifting Tuesday and Thursday 4:45pm - 5:55pm and are in the mat room Tuesday and Thursday 6:00pm - 7:45pm

From the entire Falcon Family team to everyone that attended the 4th Annual Motors and Music Car Show / IASCA Sound off at the 4th Annual Motors & Music Car Show. We want to send you a heart felt Thank YouπŸ™ŒπŸ™. If you registered a car in the show, cooked some ribs, hosted a vendor/food booth, or showed up to check the event out as a spectator, you all made the difference for us. The event was a huge success and we are proud to have hosted it for the community to enjoy.

Also, sending a Big Shout Out to our Falcon Wrestling Family for hosting another great event, as this year’s 4th Annual Motors and Music car show was the biggest and best one yet! With over 20 team volunteers on hand, we once again proved our ability to come together and make things happen for our team, the school, and the community. From hosting tournaments to putting on a car show, it truly is a great experience to be a part of the Falcon Family.πŸ’šπŸ–€πŸ”¨πŸ¦…πŸ’ͺπŸ™Œ

Thank you Randy Fukumoto for working the BBQ, Josie Zapien and Sierra Clark for hosting the kids zone, and to everyone that did a shift at the raffle booth (Casey Otero, Brooke Summers, Kirsta Boullion, and Brandy Miller). As well as thank you to alum Alex Ponce for helping with morning traffic flow, and New Breed staff for volunteering as well.

To the RVHS/Ground Creatures coaching staff and our student-athlete wrestlers, you rock! From 6:30am setup, parking over 120 show cars, helping all around, and breaking down after the event to the last poster being taken down – Thank you ALL! Our program is what it is because of you all. The sky is the limit for this team! A big thank you to Kirsten Musselman for helping me so much with the vehicle, and vendor registration tracking, and to Michelle Reyno for taking on and hosting a hugely successful 1st annual RVHS Rib Cook-Off as part of this year’s event.

River Valley Sports Association booster family and all the volunteers who stepped up throughout the weekendβ€”thank you. These events don’t happen because of one person. They happen because an entire community shows up and works together. Ray Primley, thank you for organizing the Sound-Off Competition. As always, IASCA CA showed up and it was a huge hit. DJ Juan Gonzalez, thank you for being an amazing MC/DJ and keeping the party going for the entire event.

Event pictures will be posted soon.

RVHS and Ground Creatures Families!

Sunday 06/07/26 is our annual car show fundraiser event. In collaboration with the RVHS Boosters we have hosted this event for going on 4 years now. It is a fun event and our way to give back to the community.

All wrestlers need to volunteer some time and help with setup, general runners, and breakdown. wrestlers need to be there at 7:45am for setup and morning traffic control. Last year everyone was done for the day and gone by 3:00pm. Wreslters will report to me.

Parent volunteers are needed for the raffle table 9:30am-1:30pm and registration check-in 8:00am - 11:00a. Parent volunteers will report to the boosters tent.

The community gives a lot of support to the team and school, this is our way to give back. let's come together for a fun day with music, food, and cars.

Any kids club parents wanting to help are more than welcome to do so.
