River Valley High School Girls Volleyball

The River Valley Varsity Girls Volleyball team is headed to the Sac-Joaquin playoffs for the first time since 2019! Our Falcons finished 4th in league with a 13-16 record and will face Oakdale High School (13-14) Tuesday, October 28th at 6:00 PM at Oakdale.

Led by Head Coach Kellie Tongson and Assistant Coach Samee Taylor, this team has fought hard all season. Join us in cheering them on as they take the court for a chance at postseason glory!💚🤍

🎓 Senior Spotlight: Alexa #10 💚🤍

Alexa has been playing volleyball for 5 years and has spent 3 amazing seasons on varsity!

After graduation, she plans to attend a four-year university and possibly continue playing volleyball at the next level. Her long-term goal is to become a travel CRNA🌟

🏐 Favorite Memory:
“Breaking my first record during our Placer game last year and beating Yuba City High School in three sets this year!” 🔥

Alexa, your leadership, dedication, and drive have made a huge impact on the River Valley Volleyball program. We can’t wait to see you continue to chase big goals—both on and off the court! 💚🤍

🎓Senior Spotlight: Jada #13 💚🤍

Jada has been playing volleyball for 9 years, with 4 seasons on varisty. Her plans after high school include attending a junior college to play volleyball, then transfer to a four-year university to study psychology. Her future goal is to become a child psychologist.

🏐Favorite volleyball memory: “Trying to roll out of a dig and getting stuck on my back while the play was still going!”

Always bringing laughter and hustle to the court and leaving nothing behind, your love for the game and your team made a lasting effect at RV! We can’wait to see what’s next for you Jada!💚🤍

🎓 Senior Spotlight: Micaila “Mickey” #18💚🤍

Mickey has been playing volleyball for 4 years, with 2 seasons on varsity! After high school, she plans to attend culinary school to pursue her dream of opening her own bakery, while also working toward becoming a veterinarian. 🧁🐾

🏐 Favorite Memory:
“When my team made a nickname for me, and I was never called anything but Mickey ever again.” 💚

Mickey, you have shown so much growth on and off the court and you have brought so much joy to the team. We can’t wait to see you chase your dreams—both in the kitchen and beyond!

Emylee has been playing volleyball for 5 years and has spent the last 2 seasons on varsity! After graduation, she plans to attend community college for two years and then pursue a career in ultrasound or radiology. 💫

🏐 Favorite Memory:
“When Hailey, Mickey, and I tried to take a picture for media day with us on Mickey’s back—but when I tried to jump on last, we all fell and just sat on the floor laughing!” 😂

Your laughter, energy, and heart have made such an impact on our team, Emylee! We’re so proud of you and can’t wait to see what’s next. 💚🤍
