Today is World Su***de Prevention Day. My friend shared her story the other day so bravely and beautifully. I asked her if I could reshare today, and I’m so grateful that she agreed.
She wrote, “I never realized how much I could genuinely change and grow as a person and survive. I’ve struggled with S.I. (no longer wanting to be on this earth) for many years, since I was about 12. Horses and the people I have met while riding horses have changed my life all for the better. My mom has, my dad, my siblings, and my fiancée. There is so much to live for. Don’t feel alone…”
I am so incredibly grateful that she is here ❤️ She is truly beautiful inside and out as so many of you know. And because of horses, we’ve gotten to be part of her journey in such a positive direction. If you’ve been part of our program, if you’ve donated, if you’ve whispered a prayer for us, you’ve been part of her journey too, and I know the ripple effect is far from over. Thank you from both of us- and many more 🫶🏻
If you are struggling, we’d love to be part of your journey too. Whether it’s through finding your purpose as a volunteer, finding a new passion through riding lessons, or working through deeper issues with Karah Hammontree MA, RMHCI in therapy, you have a place here, and you are not alone.
