🧡💙 PGF SHOW ME THE MONEY WEEKEND RECAP 💙🧡
Not every weekend ends the way you hoped, but sometimes the toughest weekends teach you the most!
Our EC Bullets Premier Todd-Willis girls competed in one of the toughest brackets at SMTM, facing some incredibly talented competition. We had 2 games we felt were within our reach one we led til the last inning but our opponents capitalized on every mistake we made, and things got away from us. That’s softball at this level. The little things make a BIG difference!
We also had the opportunity to face Unity Johnson, hands down one of the most respectable and talented teams we’ve competed against. With SIX major college commits on their roster, they showed exactly what competing at the highest level looks like. Nothing but respect for those young ladies and their program! 👏
Here’s the thing we ASKED for tough competition! We haven’t built our schedule around easy opponents to pad stats, inflate records, or collect meaningless wins. That’s never been our goal! We believe our girls grow by being challenged, by facing elite talent, and by learning to compete when nothing comes easy.
We would rather be challenged by the best and expose our weaknesses than walk away undefeated having learned nothing.
And that’s exactly what this weekend gave us!
This roster is loaded with talent, potential, and young ladies who have so much to offer. We identified areas that need work, and now it’s time to clean up the details, make adjustments, and put in the WORK. Growth doesn’t always come with a trophy!
🌟 BIGGEST FLEX OF THE WEEKEND? Having a coach from the University of Texas watching our game and picking up our team recruiting flyer! 🤘🧡 Talk about giving these girls something to smile about! Moments like that remind them that even on the toughest weekends, opportunities are everywhere.
We didn’t leave with the results we wanted, but we left with something we needed perspective, purpose, and a plan to get better.
