Friday Night Lights Week 9: A record-breaking night, overtime thriller in Imperial - KYMA 10/15/2022

Week 9 had its share of big games, but Yuma Catholic took the spotlight with a thrilling win and an added bonus.

After a 6 touchdown night, Shamrock QB Richard Stallworth now stands alone atop the record book as the all-time career passing touchdown leader (142) in Arizona.

Friday Night Lights Week 9: A record-breaking night, overtime thriller in Imperial - KYMA This Friday featured some big-time matchups both in Yuma and across state lines in the Imperial Valley - but all eyes centered towards the Yuma Catholic Shamrocks.

🏈🚨 FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS Week 8 in the books with a shocking twist 🚨🏈

Headlining the week was:
1 - the Yuma Criminals notching their fourth win of the season which they haven't done in over a decade 🏈
2 - Antelope claiming their 7th straight Telegraph Pass Cup in a 49-0 win at San Pasqual 🏈
3 - Central and Imperial winning Thursday night to deadlock at the top of the Imperial Valley League at (2-0) 🏈

But the best for last...

October 20th, 2017 was the last time Kofa won a football game - and that changed tonight, overcoming a 23 point deficit at the half to win 32-29. The Kings breaking a 39 game losing streak.

Props to the players and head coach Pablo Cota & rest of the coaching staff.
